Lileng Tribe Introduction
Lilang, in the Atayal language, means "people who come from the deep mountains." Due to its geographical location, backed by mountains and facing streams, the climate here is pleasant, and the Lilang River flows steadily throughout the year, winding through various tribes. During the summer, it attracts many visitors to enjoy the water, as some riverbanks are close to the roads. The Qizhongtian Waterfall Group, Sijuangshi Five-Leaf Pine Trail, Baxianshan Forest Recreation Area, and the Lilang Sea of Clouds are must-visit hidden spots for hikers. The Lilang tribe, having been developed later, still retains a rich diversity of flora and fauna. Strolling along the Lilang Trail, one can see numerous native plants such as Taiwania, fragrant nan, and mountain chamaecyparis, along with countless insects, birds, frogs, and butterflies, making it a natural ecological classroom.
