Deke Reservoir Introduction
The Deji Reservoir is located upstream of the Dajia River in Taichung. It is a mountain-type reservoir and the first hyperbolic thin arch dam made of concrete in Taiwan. It serves functions such as water supply, flood control, and irrigation, and also generates hydroelectric power. Its watershed spans Taichung City, Nantou County, and Yilan County, providing a reliable water source for the central region for a long time.
