Shimen Kite Park Introduction
Beiguan Park is themed around kites and was established in 2006 as Taiwan's first kite park. Located in Shimen District of New Taipei City, where the sea breeze blows year-round, it is an ideal place for kite flying, earning the title of "Hometown of Kites." Every weekend, families gather on the North Coast to fly kites and enjoy delightful moments together. Shimen Kite Park is situated at approximately 26.5 kilometers along Provincial Highway 2 and is considered the best quality venue for international kite flying competitions in Southeast Asia. The annual "Shimen Kite Festival," one of the most popular events in autumn, is held at the kite park, attracting kite enthusiasts from both domestic and international locations, with tens of thousands of visitors joining in the kite celebration. Colorful and amusing kites soar in the sky, creating a lively atmosphere in Shimen. In addition to exciting kite flying activities, the kite festival offers various fun challenges and kite culture tours.
