Zhunan Longfeng Fishing Port Introduction
Longfeng Fishing Port, located in Longfeng Village, Zhunan Township, is a natural fishing port at the mouth of the Cold Water Creek and the southern bank of Longfeng Drain. Due to the rocky seafloor in the surrounding waters, the port is abundant in various bottom-dwelling fish species. The fishery harvest is plentiful, including species such as black mullet, pomfret, and white sea bream, available year-round, classifying it as a third-category fishing port. Longfeng Fishing Port is conveniently situated next to the Western Coastal Highway and is one of the fishing ports along the coastal north-south corridor in Taiwan. Under the county government’s vigorous promotion of beautifying fishing villages and ports, it has been planned as a unique tourism fishing port aimed at developing a diversified business model. Centered around Longfeng Fishing Port, it connects to the Qiding Coastal Recreation Area to the north and the wetland tourism and leisure area to the south, forming a rich and complete tourist route ideal for various recreational marine activities, attracting countless visitors during holidays. The scenery at Longfeng Fishing Port is beautiful, and the environment is tidy, with well-planned recreational facilities nearby. A scenic platform is set up in the port area, and the beautiful lighting at night adds charm to the surroundings, enhancing the beauty of the seaside night view. Next to the fishing port is a grove of Casuarina trees, making it a perfect spot to rest and cool off during the sunny summer days. Here, jogging, walking, or biking can help relax the mind and body while also providing physical exercise. To enhance the tourism resources of coastal fishing ports, stimulate the atmosphere of coastal leisure travel, and increase fishermen's income, the county government invested heavily in constructing the “Longfeng Fishing Port Coastal Landscape Bridge,” which officially opened in 2008. Its white sail shape and beautiful, robust steel structure allows visitors to enjoy the sea view and ride bikes, making it a popular scene cherished by tourists.
