Miaoli Beibei Art and Culture Center Introduction
To achieve balanced regional development in Miaoli County, the Miaoli County Government has constructed the Miaobei Cultural and Arts Center, which aims to integrate cultural spaces that blend art and leisure. The initial intention is to consolidate the cultural resources of the Miaobei living area, enhance local cultural literacy and artistic atmosphere, and focus on promoting local特色文化 to the international stage. Additionally, it aims to introduce cross-strait and international cultural elements, making Miaoli County a joyful place to enjoy cultural life. The Miaobei Cultural and Arts Center is a modern building with 5 above-ground floors and 2 basement levels, covering a total area of 0.9255 hectares. The center is positioned as a "county-level" performance venue, with main space planning including a performance hall (1,090 seats), an experimental theater (230 seats), an audiovisual center, an outdoor performance area, a cultural exhibition area, and artist residency studios. Its functions are designed to accommodate various types of music, drama, and dance performances and exhibitions, as well as training programs and large gatherings. Given that the essence of art and culture encompasses both visual and auditory artistic performances, as well as the audience's personal experience of engaging in cultural activities, the operational strategy for the Miaobei Cultural and Arts Center will focus on "operational management" and "event production." It aims to integrate local cultural and creative industry resources and enhance the effectiveness of collective expression. The planning will focus on three main areas: "cultural performances," "educational inheritance," and "cultural leisure," constructing the Miaobei Cultural and Arts Special Zone as the core of development. The goal is to serve the local community in Miaobei, gradually expanding to the entire Miaoli County and to cultural enthusiasts nationwide.
