Miaobei Arts and Cultural Center Introduction
In order to achieve balanced regional development across Miaoli County, the Miaoli County Government has established the Miaobei Cultural and Arts Center, which integrates arts and leisure with living culture. The initial aim is to consolidate the cultural resources of the Miaobei life circle, enhance local cultural literacy and artistic atmosphere, and promote local characteristic culture to the international stage. The center also seeks to introduce cross-strait and national artistic and cultural elements, making Miaoli County a delightful space for enjoying cultural life. The Miaobei Cultural and Arts Center is a modern building with five above-ground floors and two underground levels, covering a total area of 0.9255 hectares. It is designated as a "county and city level" performance venue, primarily planned to include an auditorium (1,090 seats), an experimental theater (230 seats), an audiovisual center, an outdoor performance area, a cultural exhibition area, and artist residency studios. Its functions are suitable for various types of music, drama, and dance performances, exhibitions, training programs, and large gatherings. Due to the essence of art and culture encompassing both visual and auditory artistic performances, it also involves the audience's personal experience of participating in cultural activities. Therefore, the operational strategy of the Miaobei Cultural and Arts Center will focus on "operational management" and "event production" to integrate local cultural and creative industry resources while strengthening collective expression. The main planning will focus on three aspects: "cultural performances," "educational inheritance," and "cultural leisure," constructing the Miaobei Cultural and Arts Special Zone as the core of development. The goal is to primarily serve the local community of Miaobei and gradually expand to art and culture enthusiasts across Miaoli County and nationwide.
