Miaoli Cultural and Creative Industries Park Introduction
In order to ensure balanced regional development throughout Miaoli County, the Miaoli County Government has established the Miaobei Art and Culture Center, a cultural space that integrates arts and leisure into everyday life. The initial intention is to consolidate the artistic and cultural resources of the Miaobei living circle, enhance local cultural literacy and artistic atmosphere, and promote local特色文化 to the international stage. Additionally, it will appropriately introduce cross-strait and national cultural arts, making Miaoli County a joyful place for enjoying cultural life. The Miaobei Art and Culture Center is a modern building with five above-ground floors and two underground levels, with a total area of 0.9255 hectares. It is designated as a "county and city level" performance venue, with spaces including an auditorium (1,090 seats), an experimental theater (230 seats), an audio-visual center, an outdoor performance area, an exhibition area, and artist residency studios. Its functionalities are suitable for various types of music, drama, dance performances, exhibitions, training activities, and large gatherings, for both domestic and international events. Given that the nature of art and culture encompasses both visual and auditory artistic performances as well as the audience's experiential involvement in cultural activities, the operational policy of the Miaobei Art and Culture Center will be guided by "operational management" and "event production." This will integrate local creative industry resources and enhance the effectiveness of group exhibitions. The planning focus will be on "cultural performances," "educational inheritance," and "cultural leisure," building the Miaobei cultural and artistic area as the core of development. The goal is to primarily serve the local community in Miaobei, with gradual expansion to the entire Miaoli County and arts enthusiasts across the country.
