Miaobei Art and Culture Center Introduction
To achieve balanced regional development across Miaoli County and create a cultural space that integrates aesthetics with leisure, the Miaoli County Government has constructed the Miaoli North Cultural Center. The original intention is to integrate the cultural resources of the Miaoli North living circle, enhance the local cultural literacy and artistic atmosphere, while also focusing on promoting local特色 culture to the international stage. Additionally, the center aims to appropriately introduce cross-strait and international cultural elements, making Miaoli County a joyful place to enjoy cultural life. The Miaoli North Cultural Center is a modern building consisting of 5 floors above ground and 2 floors underground, with a total area of approximately 0.9255 hectares. The center is designated as a "county and city-level" performance venue. The main spaces include a performance hall (1,090 seats), an experimental theater (230 seats), an audio-visual center, an outdoor performance area, an arts exhibition area, and artist residency studios. Its functional development is suitable for various types of music, theater, dance performances, exhibitions, training sessions, and large gatherings, both domestically and internationally. Given that the essence of art and culture encompasses not only visual and auditory artistic performances but also the audience's firsthand experience of participating in cultural activities, the operational policy of the Miaoli North Cultural Center in the future will focus on "operational management" and "event production." This will integrate local creative industry resources and enhance the collective display efficiency, concentrating on three main areas: "cultural performances," "educational inheritance," and "cultural leisure." The goal is to build a cultural special zone in Miaoli North as the core of development, primarily serving the local people and gradually expanding to cultural enthusiasts throughout Miaoli County and across the nation.
