Miaoli North Arts and Culture Center Introduction
To promote balanced regional development throughout Miaoli County and create a cultural space that integrates art and leisure, the Miaoli County Government has built the "Miaobei Cultural and Arts Center." The original intention is to integrate the cultural resources of the Miaobei living area, enhance local cultural literacy and artistic atmosphere, and focus on promoting local特色文化 to the international stage, while appropriately introducing cross-strait and international cultural elements, making Miaoli County a joyful place for enjoying cultural life. The "Miaobei Cultural and Arts Center" is a modern building with 5 above-ground floors and 2 basement levels, covering a total area of 0.9255 hectares. It is designated as a "county and city level" performance venue, primarily planned as a theater (1,090 seats), experimental theater (230 seats), audiovisual center, outdoor performance area, exhibition area, and studio for resident artists. It is designed to accommodate various types of music, theater, and dance performances, exhibitions, workshops, and large-scale gatherings, suitable for both domestic and international audiences. Given that the essence of artistic culture encompasses not only visual and auditory artistic performances but also the audience's direct experience of participating in artistic activities, the future operational policy of the Miaobei Cultural and Arts Center will focus on "operational management" and "event production" to integrate local creative industry resources and enhance collective exhibition efficiency. The planning will focus on three main areas: "art performances," "education and heritage," and "cultural leisure," constructing the Miaobei Cultural and Arts Special Zone as the core of development, with the goal of primarily serving the local people of Miaobei and gradually expanding to cultural enthusiasts throughout Miaoli County and nationwide.
