Coastal Forest Park Introduction
Zhunan Coastal Forest Recreation Area is known for its beach, which is not suitable for swimming due to its depth, so it has not been planned as a swimming area. However, the straight and long coastline allows visitors to wade, enjoy the sunset over the Taiwan Strait, and take in the beautiful scenery along the way. With its original Casuarina and palm trees providing shade, it is an excellent place for walking and cycling amidst nature while getting rejuvenated by the refreshing sea breeze—perfect for family outings during the summer. Come here, as it offers not only ocean views and water activities but also a chance to "breathe" the forest! The Zhunan Coastal Forest Recreation Area is a historically significant Casuarina windbreak forest, now divided into "Family Forest," "Holiday Forest," and "Evergreen Forest." The area stretches about 8 kilometers from the north end at Qiding Beach to the south end at the mouth of Zhonggang Creek, covering approximately 150 hectares. The Evergreen Forest, Family Forest, and Holiday Forest located south of Longfeng Harbor are well-equipped with facilities and have long been places for the local community to relax, hike, and observe insect ecology. Meanwhile, the "North Coastal Forest Park Recreational Area," located north of the fishing port, leads directly to Qiding Beach, featuring beaches and wooden walkways that offer beautiful sea views. Visitors can also spot wind turbines along the coast, creating a stunning and fascinating scene as a row of white windmills spins in the breeze, making it irresistible for visitors to snap pictures. Family Forest: This section features various outdoor sports facilities made of raw wood, such as rope bridges, slides, and wooden stumps, providing a playful space for children. Parents can also enjoy outdoor activities with their children here. Evergreen Forest: This area focuses on providing relaxation for visitors, featuring a colorful lotus pond at the entrance where mallards swim. In addition to water lilies, various aquatic plants such as water candles also thrive here, making it an ideal location for outdoor education. Holiday Forest: This area has various gazebos and stone tables and chairs for picnicking and resting, with well-planned cycling paths leading directly to the Family Forest and Evergreen Forest. The cycling paths consist of eco-friendly earthen trails that retain their original natural appearance. Located under the coastal shaded forest, the seaside park is sheltered from the intense summer sun and the strong northeast monsoon winds in winter, ensuring a cool and pleasant ride throughout the year.
