Coastal Forest Park Introduction
Zhunan Coastal Forest Recreation Area has a beach that is not suitable for swimming due to its water depth, so it is not designated as a swimming area. However, the straight and long coastline allows visitors to wade through the waves and enjoy the sunset over the Taiwan Strait. The scenic route is beautiful, shaded by native Casuarina trees and palms, making it an excellent spot for walking to appreciate the views or biking for exercise. Visitors can immerse themselves in nature, feeling rejuvenated by the sea breeze and phytoncides, which makes it a great summer destination for families. Come on, here you can not only see the sea and play in the water, but also "forest" breathe! The Zhunan Coastal Forest Recreation Area is a historically significant windbreak forest of Casuarina. It is now planned into areas such as "Parent-Child Forest," "Weekend Forest," and "Evergreen Forest." The area extends about 8 kilometers from the northern Qiding Beach to the southern mouth of the Zhonggang River, covering approximately 150 hectares. The Evergreen Forest, Parent-Child Forest, and Weekend Forest south of Longfeng Port are well-equipped and have long been a place for local residents to enjoy leisure, hiking, and insect observation. The "North Coastal Forest Park Recreation Area" north of the fishing port connects directly to Qiding Beach, featuring beaches and wooden boardwalks for enjoying sea views. Visitors can also see wind turbines along the coastline, with picturesque scenes of white windmills spinning in the breeze, making it irresistible to continuously snap photos with the camera. Parent-Child Forest: This area has various outdoor sports facilities made of natural wood, such as suspension bridges, slides, and wooden posts, providing a place for children to play and for parents and children to enjoy outdoor activities together. Evergreen Forest: The facilities here are focused on providing relaxation for visitors. At the entrance, there is a colorful lotus pond where Mallards swim, and besides water lilies, there are various aquatic plants like water candles, making it a suitable spot for outdoor teaching. Weekend Forest: This area features various pavilions and stone tables and chairs for visitors to picnic and cool off, along with a well-planned leisure cycling path leading to the Parent-Child and Evergreen Forests. The cycling path is made from ecologically-friendly materials, preserving the original natural landscape. Furthermore, as the coastal park is shaded by trees, the strong summer sun is less penetrating, and it blocks the intense northeast wind in winter, ensuring a refreshing ride all year round.
