Coastal Forest Park Introduction
Zhunan Coastal Forest Recreation Area is a beach area that is not suitable for swimming due to water depth, so it has not been planned as a swimming beach. However, the straight and long coastline allows for wading and watching the sunset over the Taiwan Strait. The scenery along the way is beautiful, with native Casuarina and palm trees providing shade. Whether walking to enjoy the scenery or biking for exercise, you can embrace the phytoncide in the sea breeze and feel one with nature, making it a great place for family outings during summer. Come here, not only can you see the sea and play in the water, but you can also "breathe" the forest! The Zhunan Coastal Forest Recreation Area is an old casuarina windbreak forest, now planned into "Family Forest," "Holiday Forest," and "Evergreen Forest," among other forest areas. From the northern end at Qiding Beach to the southern end at the mouth of the Zhonggang River, it stretches about 8 kilometers and covers approximately 150 hectares. The Evergreen Forest, Family Forest, and Holiday Forest south of Longfeng Harbor are well-facilitated and have become a leisure, hiking, and insect observation area for local residents. The "North Coastal Forest Park Recreation Area," located north of the fishing harbor, leads directly to Qiding Beach, with sandy beaches and wooden boardwalks for enjoying ocean views. You can also see wind turbines along the coast, and looking at a row of white windmills turning in the wind is a beautiful and interesting sight that makes you want to grab your camera and snap photos endlessly. Family Forest: This area features various outdoor sports facilities made of raw wood, such as rope suspension bridges, slides, and wooden stakes, making it a playground for children to enjoy, while parents can also share the fun of outdoor activities here. Evergreen Forest: The facilities here are primarily for visitor relaxation. In the entrance area, a colorful lotus pond houses green-headed ducks, and in addition to water lilies, there are various aquatic plants such as water candles, making it quite suitable for outdoor teaching locations. Holiday Forest: This area has various gazebos and stone tables and chairs for visitors to picnic and cool off, along with a well-planned leisure bike path that reaches both the Family Forest and Evergreen Forest. The bike path is made of ecological materials, maintaining its original natural appearance, and since the coastal park is situated under coastal shade, the summer sun is hard to penetrate, and in winter, it blocks the strong northeast monsoon, ensuring a refreshing riding experience year-round.
