Yao Po Mountain Tourism Agricultural Area Introduction

Yaopo Mountain is located to the south of Shei-Pa National Park Administration. The mountain's shape resembles a giant eagle poised for takeoff. In Hakka, "Yaopo" means eagle. Yaopo Mountain sits at the southern end of Qing'an in the lower Wenshui River, with its highest point reaching 910 meters, at the northern end of the Malabon Mountain Range. The rock layers within the mountain range tilt westward, resulting in an east-steep, west-sloping, dolphin-back-shaped terrain formed by differential erosion, making it one of the most typical dolphin-back ridge landscapes in Taiwan. The geological layers of Yaopo Mountain belong to the Gundai Mountain sandstone, which is hard due to its calcium content. The striking rock layers resemble a giant eagle spreading its wings, creating an imposing presence that led the local villagers to name it Yaopo Mountain.

Transportation Methods：Self-driving: 1. Head south - take National Highway No. 1 to the Miaoli Interchange, then (Route 6) towards Gongguan and Dahu (approximately 30 minutes) → Route 3 (Wenshui) → Dahu Central Point. 2. Take National Highway No. 1 to Route 4 → towards Dongshi and Zhuolan, then connect to Route 3 (approximately 30 minutes) → Dahu Central Point (approximately 30 minutes). Public transportation: 1. Head south - Miaoli Train Station → Hsinchu Bus towards Dahu and Zhuolan → to Dahu Central Point (approximately 50 minutes). 2. Head north - Fengyuan Station → Fengyuan Bus towards Zhuolan (approximately 50 minutes) → to Zhuolan → transfer to Hsinchu Bus to Dahu (approximately 35 minutes).
