Golden Town Introduction
Golden Town is located at the southern end of Gongguan. It used to be a typical agricultural village, and during the busy farming season, the fields filled with ripe yellow rice stalks sway with the wind, creating a golden wave that is quite beautiful. If you visit between May and July, along Taiwan Route 6, the Bougainvillea flowers on both sides bloom brilliantly in golden yellow, and the petals that flutter down with the wind resemble a shower of golden rain, making for a charming scene. This is also the origin of the name Golden Town. To create an ideal living environment, Golden Town has transformed from an agricultural village into a diverse leisure and tourism industry. The locals have formed the "Golden Town Advancement Association," integrating pottery, bamboo weaving, unique homestays, gourmet food, garden landscapes, flower farms, and agro-tourism to enhance the richness of local leisure industries and give the town more character. In addition to these distinctive shops, local planners have designed a countryside irrigation canal bike path to cater to visitors who enjoy cycling. Through the collective efforts of the residents, Golden Town has become a place that integrates tourism, industry, and culture, successfully creating an exquisite leisure tourism community.
