Grain Fort Introduction

Established in Pitou Township, the Rice Museum "Taiwan Rice Castle" has become a highlight among the rice fields since its opening in 2010. It is a must-visit place to experience Taiwan's rice culture, blending both intellectual and emotional elements. In this era of cultural creativity, to provide visitors with a deeper understanding of how a single grain of rice can ripple out to create a beautiful lifestyle and cultural landscape, the museum underwent a large-scale transformation, dismantling and reconstructing itself. Through the simple phrase "Enjoy your meal," it reinterprets the beauty of life brought by rice, hoping that the new Taiwan Rice Castle will usher Taiwan’s tourist factories into a new 2.0 era.

Walking into the lobby is the "Granary of the World," where Chunghsing Rice, which has successfully marketed globally, displays samples of rice from various countries, proudly showcased on high walls. Rice is a source of pride for Taiwan and serves as a bridge of friendship with the world. As you ascend the steps, you'll discover the literary and poetic aspects of rice. The traditional "threshing floor" is a space for multimedia communication, inviting you to become a round-table warrior through artistic animations and to make a change starting from the dining table. The staggered exhibition halls within the building resemble a small settlement in the fields. You can weave through the little wooden houses to view the exhibits, gaining multiple perspectives from rice, immersing into life and the deep cultural flow. All stars gather to shine on the moon; in the DIY classroom, we invite you to cook a pot of rice carefully, genuinely inhaling the aroma of rice, enhancing the color and fragrance of white rice. Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows are rows of enormous rice storage silos and a high-tech packaging factory, exuding a classic industrial style. Here, you will first satisfy your intellect and then enjoy a sensory experience with the dining; eating well allows you to truly experience a genuine "meal gathering."
