芳苑燈塔於民國67年1978建造，塔高37.4尺，燈高35.7公尺，塔身為八角形鋼筋混凝土造，塔身漆以黑白直條紋，裝設四等電燈，每10秒明5秒暗5秒，光力28000支燭光，相當於1000瓦的亮度。塔內有發電機房、倉庫、宿舍等設施，屬於交通部航管局管轄，是座國際燈塔。

Fangyuan Lighthouse

In the past, "Wang Gong Fishing Lights" was one of the eight scenic spots in Changhua. In recent years, the number of fishing boats has decreased, and the once-thriving scene is no longer visible. However, when visiting the seaside and climbing up to the observation deck at Wang Gong Fishing Port, you can overlook the fishing harbor. Before high tide, one can see small boats returning to the port laden with oysters, while in the intertidal zone, mudskippers and fiddler crabs can be spotted. If you're lucky, you might find clams among the mud. Walking along the embankment road behind Fangyuan Lighthouse towards Xinbao Village, you'll encounter a large mangrove forest successfully rehabilitated by the Changhua County Agricultural Bureau over the years. This mangrove forest, about 1 meter high, is home to water birds such as herons, making it an excellent natural ecology classroom.
