Hanbao Wetland Introduction
Located in the coastal central wetland of Changhua County, this area experiences minimal human disturbance, providing an excellent wintering environment for migratory birds. Up to 160 species of migratory birds come to this wetland to forage and spend the winter. The fiddler crabs burrow in and out of the soft sand, and under the warm sunlight, the black mud sparkles, enticing visitors to remove their shoes and walk barefoot into the water. The cool sensation rises from the toes as you walk through shallow streams and muddy areas. One can often spot various shellfish, crabs, clams, fresh oysters, and small fish, with a diverse array of small creatures playing hide-and-seek, adding to the charm of the wetland.
