Erlin Renhe Temple Introduction

The Renhe Temple in Erlin, Changhua, is a rare Tangshan-style temple recognized as a county-designated historic site and is one of the oldest Mazu temples. It is said to have been founded in the early years of the Qianlong reign and underwent renovations in 1782 during the 47th year of Qianlong. The temple is connected to the street houses and faces south. After several renovations, it reached its current scale in the 20th year of the Jiaqing era (1815). It was also renovated in the 14th year of the Taisho era and in the 50th year of the Republic of China, resulting in the temple's present appearance. Those with knowledge can discern its significance.
