Yuanlin Shrine Ruins Introduction
During the Japanese colonial period, many shrines were built in Taiwan, serving as places for the Japanese to worship deities. The shrines are divided into official shrines and local shrines. Yuanlin Shrine was built in the 6th year of the Showa era (1931), originally classified as an unranked shrine, and in the 17th year of the Showa era (1942), it was ranked as a town shrine, making it one of the shrines in Yuanlin District during the Japanese colonial period.
