Yuanlin Shrine Ruins Introduction

During the Japanese colonial period, many shrines were built in Taiwan, serving as places for the Japanese to worship deities. Shrines are categorized into official shrines and local shrines. Yuanlin Shrine was established in Showa 6 (1931) as a non-ranked shrine and was designated as a rural shrine in Showa 17 (1942). It was one of the shrines in Yuanlin County during the Japanese colonial period.
