Old Banyan Mother and Daughter Trees Introduction
Entering Nantou along County Road 139, you can see a towering camphor tree from afar, which is the Old Camphor Mother-Daughter Tree. Standing at 25 meters tall with a crown spread of about 500 square meters, the Old Camphor Mother-Daughter Tree is actually composed of an over 300-year-old camphor tree and a small Duguang. The intertwining of the two trees resembles a mother and daughter, hence the name.
