Longding Historic Trail Introduction
Formerly known as the "Salt-Trying Ancient Path," it was a trade route connecting the coastal settlements of Changhua and the mountainous areas of Nantou. Located at the Dairenkeng in Baiguoshan of Yuanlin, it is also called the "Dairenkeng Ancient Path." The trail is constructed using local stone materials, with a gentle and easily navigable terrain, making it suitable for a leisurely afternoon walk. On both sides of the trail are orchards filled with starfruit, lychee, longan, and other fruit trees, offering a bountiful sight in the summer as the branches are laden with fruits. The area is complemented by camphor trees, acacia trees, and fragrant trees, creating a rich and colorful forest environment, with seasonal blooms of flowers such as balsam, butterfly orchids, and calla lilies.
