Longting Historic Trail Introduction
Formerly known as "Tiao Yan Ancient Trail," this was a trade route between the coastal areas of Changhua and the mountainous settlements of Nantou. It is also referred to as "Dai Ren Keng Ancient Trail" due to its location at the Dai Ren Keng in Baiguo Mountain, Yuanlin. The trail is constructed using local stone materials, and its gentle terrain makes it easy to walk, making it suitable for a leisurely afternoon stroll. On both sides of the trail, there are orchards filled with starfruit, lychee, longan, and other fruit trees. Visitors during summer can see the trees laden with fruit, and the rich and colorful forest ecosystem is complemented by camphor trees, acacia, and fragrant nanmu. Additionally, seasonal flowers such as impatiens, orchids, and calla lilies bloom along the trail.
