Longting Old Trail Introduction
Formerly known as "Tiao Yan Ancient Trail," it was a trade route connecting the coastal settlements of Changhua and the mountainous areas of Nantou. Because it is located at Dairen Pit in Bajiaoshan of Yuanlin, it is also called "Dairen Pit Ancient Trail." The path is built using local stone materials, featuring a gentle slope that makes it suitable for leisurely walks in the afternoon. On both sides of the trail, there are orchards with an abundance of starfruit, lychee, and longan trees. Visitors in the summer can see the branches laden with fruit, while the rich and colorful forest is complemented by camphor trees, acacia trees, and fragrant nutmeg trees. Additionally, flowers such as balsam, butterfly orchids, and calla lilies bloom seasonally.
