Shetou Township boasts the widest group of traditional Holo architecture in Taiwan, among which the Liu residence features the Yuemei Pond house with two main sections and a total of thirteen protective dragons, with six on the left and seven on the right.

Liou Residence Yuemei Pond Introduction

The Liu family's ancestral home in Shetou, Yuemei comes from Nanjing County, Zhangzhou, Fujian. The eleventh generation ancestor, Tianji Gong, crossed the sea to Taiwan during the mid-Kangxi period, first arriving in the Jiayi Dabang area (now known as Minxiong), until the twelfth generation ancestor, Yichou Gong, relocated to the current location of Yuemei Pond in Shetou.
