Shetou Township has the widest group of Mazu Long ancient residential buildings in Taiwan, among which the Liu residence features the Yue Mei Chi residential building, consisting of two large sections with a total of thirteen Hulong, six on the left and seven on the right.

Liu's Residence Yuemei Pond Introduction

The Liu clan of Shetou, Yuemei originated from Nanjing County, Zhangzhou, Fujian. The eleventh-generation ancestor, Tianji Gong, crossed the sea to Taiwan during the mid-Kangxi period, initially arriving in the Jiayi Daan (present-day Minxiong) area, until the twelfth-generation ancestor, Yichou Gong, moved to the current Yuemei Lake in Shetou for cultivation.
