Monkey Cave Recreation Area Introduction
Located in Fushan Village, Nantou City, the Monkey Explorer Well Scenic Area is a well-known attraction in the Bagua Mountain Scenic Area, renowned for its beautiful sunset views, earning it the nickname "Sunset Valley." If you happen to visit the park during sunset, you will be treated to a stunning golden landscape. There are two hiking trails on the Bagua Mountain range; one connects to the viewing pavilion, and the other leads to the observation platform at Monkey Explorer Well. The valley between the two is now linked by the "Monkey Explorer Well Ladder," famously known as the "Sky Bridge." Measuring 204 meters in length and comprising 265 steps, it has a height difference of 5.65 meters from one end to the other. On clear days, you can enjoy distant views of the Changhua Plain, Xiluo Bridge, and the mouth of Zhuoshui River from the bridge, creating the feeling of walking in the clouds. At night, the bridge lights up, making it even more romantic.
