Kenting Youth Activity Center Introduction
The architecture of the Kenting Youth Activity Center is uniquely elegant, designed with great care by the architectural master Dr. H.P. Blume. The building's exterior adopts the traditional Minnan style, featuring gardens, three-section courtyards, Hokkien-style houses, and inns, creating an atmosphere rich in ancient charm. Additionally, the activity center is located adjacent to the Kenting Frog Rock Coastal Park, where a path leads you to the shoreline to enjoy the breathtaking sea views and ecological beauty. As you wander through, you can take in the unique coastal flora, distinctive rock formations, and even distant bays and mountains. The spacious grounds are tranquil and serene; walking through the alleys and facing the ancient buildings naturally evokes a sense of nostalgia. The buildings are named after surnames from the "Hundred Family Surnames," such as Longxi Hall, Qinghe Hall, Jiangxia Hall, and Pengcheng Hall, allowing visitors to appreciate the architectural features while also learning about the origins of the names. At the temple square, engaging with traditional games like spinning tops, stilt walking, and centipede races adds a fresh experience. If you're feeling hungry, head to Longmen Inn—yes, you heard it right, an inn in ancient times is like a modern restaurant, providing a place to rest and satisfy your hunger. Having the opportunity to dine in an inn is yet another refreshing experience. The Hengchun Peninsula enjoys spring-like weather all year round, and on sunny days, the red-and-white buildings of the activity center contrast beautifully against the blue sky, each showcasing its unique charm. Particularly, the Kenting Youth Activity Center is near the coastal park, where you can stroll along the seaside recreational trail to reach the beach, witnessing the pristine sandy shore, tropical plants, coastal rocky formations, and the glowing sunset—these create a rare and stunning landscape beauty.
