Kenting Youth Activity Center Introduction
The Kenting Youth Activity Center features a unique and elegant architectural cluster designed by the renowned architect Dr. Han Pao-teh. Its exterior adopts traditional Minnan style, with gardens, three-section courtyards, three-sided courtyards, four-sided courtyards, academies, and inns, creating a rich atmosphere of antiquity throughout the area. Additionally, the activity center is adjacent to the Frog Rock Seaside Park, and by following the trails, visitors can reach the coastline to enjoy breathtaking ocean views and ecological beauty, all while encountering rare coastal plants, unique rock formations, and distant bays and mountains. The expansive grounds are quiet and serene, and walking through the alleys amongst the historical architecture evokes a sense of nostalgia. The buildings are named after surnames from the top hundred Chinese surnames, such as Longxi Hall, Qinghe Hall, Jiangxia Hall, and Pengcheng Hall, allowing visitors to appreciate the architectural features while learning about the origins of these names. At the temple square, trying out traditional games like spinning tops, stilt walking, and centipede racing adds a touch of novelty. If hunger strikes, head over to Longmen Inn. Contrary to what some may think, the ancient inn is akin to a modern restaurant, serving as a place to take a break and satisfy hunger, providing yet another refreshing experience. The Hengchun Peninsula enjoys a spring-like climate year-round. On sunny days, the red and white buildings of the activity center contrast beautifully against the blue sky, each showcasing its own charm and advantage. Especially with the Kenting Youth Activity Center located near the seaside park, visitors can take a stroll along the coastal recreational path to reach the beach and witness the stunning scenery of white sandy shores, tropical plants, wave-etched rocks, and the glow of the sunset—an exceptional sight indeed.
