Kenting Youth Activity Center Introduction
The Kenting Youth Activity Center features uniquely elegant architecture, meticulously designed by architect Dr. Hsiao Po-te in traditional Minnan style. The complex includes gardens, three-section courtyards, Sanhe and Sihe courtyards, a study hall, and an inn, all contributing to the area’s rich historical ambiance. Additionally, the activity center is adjacent to the Kenting Frog Stone Scenic Area, where visitors can stroll along the pathways to the shoreline to enjoy the stunning coastal and ecological views, taking in the unique coastal plants, distinctive rock formations, and the distant bays and mountains. The spacious grounds have a tranquil environment, and walking through the winding alleys, surrounded by traditional architecture, evokes a sense of nostalgia. The buildings are named after surnames from the Hundred Family Surnames, such as Longxi Hall, Qinghe Hall, Jiangxia Hall, and Pengcheng Hall, allowing visitors to appreciate the architectural features and learn about their origins. In the plaza, engaging with traditional games such as spinning tops, stilt walking, and centipede racing provides a fresh experience. If you’re feeling hungry, head over to Longmen Inn, which is an ancient inn turned modern restaurant, serving as a place to rest and fill your stomach, offering another unique experience. The Hengchun Peninsula enjoys spring-like weather all year round. On sunny days, the red and white buildings of the activity center contrast beautifully with the azure sky, each showcasing its unique charm. Particularly because the Kenting Youth Activity Center is near the coastal park, visitors can also follow the seaside recreational pathways to the beach, where they can witness the white sandy shores, tropical plants, coastal erosion rocks, and the enchanting glow of the sunset, all of which are rare and beautiful sights.
