Kenting Youth Activity Center Introduction
The Kenting Youth Activity Center features a unique architectural complex designed by renowned architect Dr. Hans Scharoun. The buildings exhibit traditional Minnan style, with elements like gardens, three-section courtyards, Sanheyuan, Siheyuan, academies, and lodgings, creating an atmosphere rich in historical charm. Furthermore, with the activity center adjacent to the Kenting Frog Rock Coastal Park, visitors can stroll along the path to reach the shoreline and admire the beautiful views of the sea and sky, as well as the ecological landscapes. Amid the journey, one can witness rare coastal plants, unique rock formations, and even distant bays and mountains. The spacious area of the park is tranquil and serene. Walking through the alleyways surrounded by historical architecture evokes a sense of nostalgia. The buildings are named after surnames from the Song Dynasty, such as Longxi Hall, Qinghe Hall, Jiangxia Hall, and Pengcheng Hall, allowing visitors to appreciate architectural features while also learning about the origins of these names. At the temple square, engaging with traditional activities like spinning tops, stilt walking, and centipede racing offers a refreshing experience. If hunger strikes, head over to Longmen Inn—indeed, the ancient inn is the modern restaurant, a place to rest and fill the stomach, providing another unique dining experience. The Hengchun Peninsula enjoys a spring-like climate all year round. On sunny days, the red and white buildings of the activity center contrast beautifully with the blue sky, showcasing their own distinct charm. Especially since the Kenting Youth Activity Center is close to the coastal park, visitors can follow the scenic coastal pathway to the beach, where they can enjoy the pristine white sands, tropical plants, coastal rock formations, and the glow of the sunset, which all contribute to an extraordinary visual experience.
