Golden Dragon Lake Introduction
Jinlong Lake is located in a valley between Shuangfeng Peaks, with a slightly gourd-shaped surface, resembling a piece of raw jade quietly resting in the mountains. Formerly known as "Dapi Lake," it spans 6 hectares and boasts a vast area of pristine forest. The lakeside is densely wooded, providing ample shade; the region largely consists of marshlands, secondary forests, and open grasslands formed from abandoned farmlands. Nearby farmlands and wetlands frequently showcase water buffalo and white egrets leisurely wandering about, creating a picturesque and tranquil scene. In recent years, the Dawu Township Office has constructed a lakeside road, lined with beautiful shower trees. A walking path of about 2 kilometers around the lake is suitable for leisurely strolls or cycling. An investigation of the animals in Jinlong Lake revealed the presence of woodpeckers, squirrels, butterfly moths, little rain frogs, and marsh shrimp, as well as various plants such as century plant, wood ginger, Taitung firethorn, and Taitung cycad. Along the lakeside road, there are resting pavilions where visitors can enjoy the lake's reflections, watch squirrels chasing each other, and various birds happily foraging. The area also offers outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, fishing, sightseeing, walking, barbecuing, and camping, making it an excellent spot to escape the hustle and bustle of life for a half-day relaxation.
