Chikushan Introduction
Chike Mountain is located at the peak of the Central Mountain Range, approximately 900 meters above sea level. The name Chike Mountain comes from the fact that during the Japanese occupation, the entire mountain was filled with Chike trees, a type of evergreen broadleaf tree known for its hard wood, which was exported to Japan to be made into gun stocks and became famous at that time. Nowadays, the mountain is planted with numerous daylilies, also known as "Worry-Free Grass." Visiting here, surrounded by golden flowers and feeling the gentle breeze, one can truly feel all worries and troubles disappear completely.
