Wuzhih Mountain Tea Garden Introduction
Wuzhih Village is the hometown of Tianhe Tea. Since the Agriculture and Forestry Department promoted tea cultivation in 1973, with expert guidance and continuous improvements, the quality of the tea leaves has gradually enhanced, and "Tianhe Tea" has finally become a rising star in Taiwan's tea production. Wuzhih has risen to become a famous tea-producing area in the province, renowned both domestically and internationally. With the economic development of the Ruisui area, road expansion, and the proliferation of leisure villas, tourists continuously flock here. If you drive through the Wuzhih Plateau, the landscape is dominated by tea gardens, with around thirty to forty tea gardens that produce and sell their own tea, scattered across the vast Wuzhih Plateau. Each tea garden owner possesses a unique tea-making secret. Today, Wuzhih Village has evolved into a brand new tourist village. Visitors to the Huadong Valley often stop by these tea gardens to enjoy tea, tea-flavored desserts, tea candies, green tea cakes, and tea pastries, making it a significant joy in life. The tea produced in Wuzhih is mainly Oolong tea, including Qing Xin Oolong, Jin Xuan tea, and Cui Yu Baozhong, with thick and tender tea leaves that have exceptional flavors, and are widely favored. Additionally, there are well-equipped resorts and guesthouses here. It is recommended to take a trip to the Wuzhih Plateau on a weekend to sample the fragrant tea and enjoy the leisure and relaxation of a pastoral vacation.
