Hualien County Longfeng Jialiang Quality Rice Marketing Cooperative Introduction
The beautiful Hualien is the backyard of Taiwan. Nestled in the heart of the Hualien-Taitung valley, Yuli and Zhuoxi are surrounded by mountains and feature fresh air, resembling a paradise. The great fertile areas along the upper streams of the Xiuqunlun River, such as the Qing Shui River, Rakuraku River, and Heping River, receive pure water sources from Yushan, the Central Mountain Range, and the Coastal Mountain Range. They are also enriched with mineral essence and trace elements from the Eurasian and Philippine tectonic plates, nourishing the rice crops and giving the "Wow Good Rice" its excellent characteristics and flavor. The geography between the two mountains in the valley and the natural barrier of the Wuhu Terrace at the northern end not only shortens intense sunlight but also mitigates the cold northeast monsoon in winter, creating a growing environment with significant day-night temperature differences. This allows the rice cultivation in the Yuxi area to have a longer growth period for energy and nutrient storage, resulting in a solid texture and taste.
