Hualien County Longfeng Jialiang Quality Rice Marketing Cooperative Introduction
Beautiful Hualien is Taiwan's back garden. Located in the heart of the Hualien-Taitung Valley, Yuli and Zhuoxi are surrounded by mountains with fresh air, resembling a paradise on earth. The vast fertile plains formed by the upper streams of the Xiuguluan River, Qingshui River, La Ku La Ku River, and Heping River receive pure water sources from Yushan, Central Mountain Range, and Coastal Mountain Range, along with the mineral essence and trace elements from the Eurasian and Philippine tectonic plates that nourish the rice, giving "Wow good rice" its exceptional characteristics and flavors. The terrain between the two mountains in the valley and the natural barrier of the Wushe Plateau in the north not only shortens the intense sunlight but also mitigates the cold northeast monsoon in winter, creating a significant temperature difference between day and night. This allows for a longer growth period for the rice crops in the Yuxi region, enabling them to store energy and nutrients more effectively, resulting in a solid texture and taste.
