Guoye Sunrise Introduction
Guohai Sunrise is one of the famous "Eight Scenic Views" of Penghu. Located in Guohai Village on the northwestern sandy hillside, there is a grove of yellow rose mallow, which is commonly referred to as Guohai, hence the name. This grove is evergreen all year round, with vibrant yellow flowers blooming in spring and summer. Facing the sea to the east, Guohai Village offers an expansive view, making it a well-known spot for watching the sunrise. Climbing the Sunrise Pavilion, one can enjoy the best angle to admire the sunrise; especially on clear days, looking eastward over the sea, the red sun rises slowly from the ocean surface. The initially dark and gray sky gradually transforms into orange-red hues, and the golden sun rises above the horizon. In an instant, the entire sea surface is illuminated with a bright orange reflection, and along with the unique eroded coastal terrain, when the sunlight is reflected on these formations, the shimmering stones appear like diamonds floating on the water, reflecting dots of gold. The whole sea looks as if a golden-armored warrior is riding on golden waves, rushing toward you, creating a stunning and breathtaking beauty! When witnessing the sunrise, if the weather is excellent and the sky is clear, one can see the outline of Taiwan and the Central Mountain Range in the distance. 【Recommended visit time】 1.5 hours
