Guoye Sunrise Introduction
Guohay Sunrise is one of the famous eight scenic spots in Penghu. Guohay Village is located on the northwest sandy slopes, where there is a grove of yellow hibiscus trees, which are commonly referred to as guohay, hence the name. This grove of guohay is evergreen throughout the seasons, blooming with yellow flowers in spring and summer, making it very lush. The eastern side of Guohay Village faces the sea, providing an open and expansive view, making it a well-known spot for watching the sunrise. Climbing up the Sunrise Pavilion offers the best angle for sunrise viewing; especially when the weather is clear, one can gaze eastward to the seaside and witness the red sun slowly rising from the sea surface. The sky shifts from dark and gloomy to an orange-red hue as the golden sun emerges from the horizon, instantly reflecting bright orange light across the sea. The unique eroded terrain along the beach enhances the sunlight’s reflection, and as it shines upon the broken rocks, they appear to float on the water like diamonds, glimmering with golden spots. The entire sea seems to be adorned in golden armor, rushing toward you on golden waves, creating a mesmerizing beauty! At dawn, when the weather is good and the sky is completely clear, one can even see the distant outline of Taiwan's Central Mountain Range. 【Recommended Stay Time】 1.5 hours
