Houwan Beach Introduction
Located on the east coast of Huxi Township in Penghu, in the grassland area between Longmen and Guoye villages, Houwan Beach is a secluded spot that rarely sees visitors, making it largely empty and tranquil. Recently, a public facility has been constructed here, featuring a tank-shaped restroom and changing room, alongside a planned parking lot and wooden pavilion. The tank's tracks have been designed as washing areas, and visitors can walk up the barrel for a stunning view. This beautiful secret spot guarded by a tank adds some fun to the serene beach. As it is still underdeveloped, the area retains a more natural and primitive appearance; the waters here are shallow, with a beach made of coral debris and shell sand, stretching into a bay shape. Due to tidal and northeast monsoon factors, some litter and driftwood may also be blown here, which is why there are occasional clean-up activities organized in the area. At Houwan Beach, human presence is sparse, and occasionally locals can be seen playing in the water during the day or at dusk. Here, you can take a moment to slow down, relax, and enjoy the vast, unspoiled beach on your own. 【Suggested Stay Time】 0.5 hours
