Hou Wan Beach Introduction
At the Dong'an seaside in Huxi Township, Penghu, situated between Longmen and Guoya villages, lies a secluded grassland area. The location of the Longmen Back Bay Beach is discreet, with few visitors, making it largely empty and tranquil. Recently, a public facility has been constructed here, featuring a restroom and changing room designed to resemble a tank, along with a planned parking area and a wooden pavilion. The tank's tracks are designed as wash areas, and from the barrel, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the scenery. This beautiful hidden gem, guarded by a tank, adds a bit of fun to the serene beach. Since this area has not yet been developed, it retains a more natural and primitive appearance. The shallow waters are composed of coral fragments and shell sand along the bay-shaped beach. Due to tidal changes and the northeast monsoon, some debris and driftwood may wash ashore, leading to occasional beach cleanup activities by various groups. At the Back Bay Beach, which sees little foot traffic, local residents can often be seen splashing around during the daytime or at dusk. Here, one can slow down, relax, and enjoy the expanse of this pristine beach alone. 【Recommended stay time】 0.5 hours
