Houwan Beach Introduction
At the eastern coast of Huxi Township in Penghu, located between the villages of Longmen and Guoye, there is a grassy area where Longmen Back Bay Beach is situated. The location is hidden and seldom visited, making it mostly empty and tranquil. Recently, a public facility has been constructed, featuring a restroom and changing room designed to resemble a tank, along with a planned parking lot and wooden pavilion nearby. The tracks of the tank serve as a washing area, and you can walk up the barrel to enjoy the beautiful view. This beautiful secret spot, guarded by a tank, adds a bit of fun to the serene beach. As it remains undeveloped, the area retains a more natural and primitive appearance. The shallow waters consist of coral fragments and shell sand beaches, and the entire beach stretches in a bay shape. Due to tides and northeast monsoons, some trash and driftwood are often blown here, so occasionally, groups come to conduct beach cleaning activities. At Back Bay Beach, there are few visitors, and occasionally during the day or at dusk, you might see locals splashing in the water.
