Houwan Beach Introduction
On the eastern coast of Huxi Township, Penghu, nestled between Longmen and Guoye Villages, lies a secluded grassland area near Houwan Beach. This spot is hidden and rarely visited, creating a mostly empty and tranquil atmosphere. Recently, public facilities have been constructed here, including a tank-shaped restroom and changing room, alongside a planned parking lot and wooden pavilion. The tank’s tracks have been designed as washing areas, and visitors can walk up through the tank's barrel for a distant view of the beautiful scenery. The beautiful hidden gem is guarded by a tank, adding a touch of fun to this serene beach. As this area has not yet been developed, it retains a more natural and primitive appearance. The shallow waters consist of coral fragments and shell sand, forming a bay-like stretch of beach. Due to tides and the northeast monsoon, some debris and driftwood occasionally wash ashore, prompting cleanup activities by local organizations. Houwan Beach is sparsely populated, and occasionally during the day or twilight, a few locals can be seen enjoying the water. Here, visitors are encouraged to slow down, relax, and enjoy the expanse of this pristine beach. 【Recommended stay time】 0.5 hours
