Houwan Beach Introduction
Located on the eastern coast of Huxi Township in Penghu, this grassland area lies between the villages of Longmen and Guoye. The location of Houwan Beach is secluded, with few visitors, making it mostly empty and tranquil. Recently, a public facility has been built here, featuring a restroom and changing room designed like a tank, alongside a planned parking area and a wooden gazebo. The tank's tracks are designed as washing areas, and from its cannon, one can enjoy a distant view of the beautiful scenery. This beautiful hidden gem, guarded by a tank, adds a touch of fun to the quiet beach. As it has not yet been developed, it retains a more natural and primitive appearance. The area features shallow sandbanks consisting of coral fragments and shell sands, with the beach stretching into a bay shape. Due to tidal factors and the northeast monsoon, some debris and driftwood may wash ashore, and there are occasional clean-up activities organized by various groups. At Houwan Beach, where human traffic is scarce, locals can be seen enjoying the water in small groups during the day or at dusk. Here, one can slow down, relax, and enjoy the vast pristine beach in solitude. 【Recommended stay time】 0.5 hours
