Dacangyu Introduction
Daqing Island is located at the center of Penghu, surrounded by Penghu Main Island, Baisha Island, and Fisherman Island, earning the nickname "Pearl of the Inner Sea." It is classified as a second-level detached island that can be explored on foot or by bicycle. The overall terrain is higher in the north and lower in the south, with steep sea cliffs and basalt columns on the northeastern sides, while the southwestern side gently slopes into the sea. The entire island is surrounded by intertidal zones and marine erosion platforms. Visitors can admire attractions such as the Guanyin Pavilion in Magong, the windmills in Zhongtun of Baisha, and the Xiyu Cross-Sea Bridge, or visit the white sandy beaches with rice-white shells on the west side of Daqing Fishing Port, which is a must-visit spot for tourists. The island is surrounded by vast marine erosion platforms, with a significant difference in area between high and low tide, offering rich intertidal marine resources where visitors can enjoy the fun of fishing and crab catching. The residents of Daqing Island lead simple lives, with all necessary daily supplies needing to be brought over from Magong Main Island. Due to population outmigration, Daqing Elementary School was closed in August 2005, and education and daily life on the island are now closely linked to Magong Main Island. 【Recommended Stay Duration】3-4 hours
