Dongshi Eco Park Introduction
Dongshi Environmental Park, established at the end of 2010, is a revitalization project by the Luwei Township Office. Located near the coastline, it features scenic facilities such as an entrance wall, a labyrinth made of basalt stones, and slate pathways. During the blooming season, the fields adorned with cosmos flowers sway gracefully, attracting a large number of independent travelers. This area was previously the earliest landfill in Penghu, which ceased operations in 2003 due to saturation. The township office repurposed the Dongshi landfill site for use as a park. The park includes a labyrinth made of basalt stones, scenic walkways, flower trellises, stone tables, and stone benches. The basalt labyrinth, about 100 cm high, is quite small, surrounded by a vast meadow, and in one corner, there is a traditional ox cart painted in red. Dongshi Environmental Park, located near the coastline and Penghu Airport, is conveniently situated near flight paths. During the summer, when the cosmos flowers bloom, it becomes an excellent spot for photography, sightseeing, enjoying the breeze, and watching planes. 【Recommended stay time】 0.5 hours
