Daqra Island Introduction
Dakeng Island is located at the center of Penghu, surrounded by Penghu Main Island, Baisha Island, and Qimei Island, earning it the title of "Pearl of the Inner Sea." It is classified as a second-level offshore island and can be explored on foot or by bicycle. The overall topography is higher in the north and lower in the south, with steep sea cliffs and basalt columns on the northeastern sides, while the southwestern side features gentle slopes leading to the sea. The entire island is encircled by intertidal zones and sea erosion platforms. Surrounding the island, you can enjoy views of attractions such as the Guanyin Pavilion in Magong, the windmills in Zhongtun on Baisha Island, and the Xiyu Undersea Bridge. Additionally, on the west side of Dakeng Fishing Port, there is a unique off-white shell beach typical of the Penghu Islands, making it a must-visit spot for tourists. The surrounding waters feature vast sea erosion platforms, which exhibit significant area differences between high and low tides, rich in intertidal marine resources, allowing visitors to experience the fun of fishing and crab-catching. The residents of Dakeng Island lead simple lives, and all necessary daily supplies must be brought from Magong Main Island. Due to population emigration, Dakeng Elementary School was closed in August 2005, and the education and daily life on the island are now closely linked to Penghu Main Island. 【Recommended Stay Time】3-4 hours
