Established in 1922, Hsinchu Senior High School built a dojo in 1926 for sports purposes, which also served as a training ground for kendo, nurturing a top-tier kendo team renowned throughout Taiwan. As a result, this dojo is commonly referred to as the Kendo Hall. Due to the high standards of its design and construction, it still retains its ancient charm, even though the roof was later replaced with steel sheets due to damage.
