Established in 1922, Hsinchu Senior High School built a martial arts venue in 1926, serving as a gymnasium and a practice space for fencing, which nurtured a top-notch kendo team known throughout Taiwan. As a result, this martial arts venue is commonly referred to as the Kendo Hall. Despite later renovations that replaced the damaged roof with steel wave plates, the original ancient style remains.
