Founded in 1922, Hsinchu Senior High School established a martial arts venue in 1926 for sports purposes and as a space for kendo practice, nurturing a top-tier kendo team famous throughout Taiwan. Thus, this martial arts venue is commonly referred to as the Kendo Hall. Due to its high standards in design and construction quality, it retains its ancient charm even after the roof was damaged and replaced with steel sheets.
