Seventeen Kilometers Coast Scenic Area Tourist Service Center Introduction
The tourist service center at Nanliao Fishing Port was completed in July 2006, making it a new attraction within the 17-kilometer coastal scenic area of Hsinchu City. The total floor area is 1,174 square meters, and the center's exterior features a blue and white color scheme, with a circular roof and cylindrical viewing platform. The five-story bridge retains an observation space at the top, while the viewing platform, standing 29 meters high, is equipped with a scenic elevator, natural lighting, nighttime illumination, and handrail support for a user-friendly experience. From the observation deck, visitors can enjoy a 360-degree view of the beautiful sea and night scenery. To highlight Hsinchu's strong traditional glass-making industry, the building's exterior is coated with embedded eco-friendly glass, showcasing the unique appearance of a ship's deck and bridge. Inside, the visitor service desk features display cabinets for traditional industry exhibits, promoting Hsinchu's unique characteristics. Adjacent to the tourist service center are Shell Park and the old port recreational area, surrounded by beautifully landscaped green spaces, all integrated into a multifunctional area for tourism, leisure, and entertainment.
