Dajian Mountain Scenic Area Introduction
At an elevation of 460 meters, Dajian Mountain is a famous suburban mountain in the Xizhi area due to its beautiful scenery, earning it the title of the "Back Garden of Xizhi." Dajian Mountain changes its charm with the seasons: in early spring, cherry blossoms bloom; in summer, fireflies light up the night; and at the end of autumn, maple leaves turn red. The surrounding waterfalls, such as Dajian Waterfall, Qidong Waterfall, and Xiufeng Waterfall, are also quite spectacular, making it a tranquil place to enjoy nature's bounty. The Dajian Mountain Scenic Area offers numerous hiking trails of varying lengths and difficulties. From two climbing entrances, Tianxiu Temple or Tiandao Clearing Retreat, hikers can ascend the mountain along stone steps. Thanks to its advantageous geographical location, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the Greater Taipei Basin, with the magnificent cityscape beneath. The surrounding mountains create a layered and harmonious scene, resembling an ink wash painting. At night, the lights from countless homes can be seen, offering a unique experience of over 180 degrees of dazzling night views. Additionally, this location is an excellent spot to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks at Taipei 101.
