Dajian Mountain Scenic Area Introduction
At an altitude of 460 meters, Dajianshan is a famous suburban mountain in the Xizhi area, renowned for its beautiful scenery and often referred to as the "back garden of Xizhi." Dajianshan changes its charm with the seasons: cherry blossoms bloom in early spring, fireflies light up in summer, and maple leaves turn red in late autumn. The surrounding waterfalls, such as Dajianshan Waterfall, Qidong Waterfall, and Xiufeng Waterfall, are also spectacular and make it a serene place to enjoy the aromas of nature! The Dajianshan Scenic Area features numerous hiking trails of varying lengths and difficulty levels. From the trailheads at Tianxiu Temple or Tiandao Quiet Study, hikers can ascend via stone steps. Due to its advantageous geographical location, visitors here can enjoy a panoramic view of the Greater Taipei Basin, with the magnificent cityscape spread before their eyes. The surrounding mountains are layered and vary in color, resembling an ink wash painting. At night, the vista of countless lights creates a breathtaking sight, offering more than 180 degrees of dazzling night view. Additionally, this location is an excellent spot to enjoy the New Year fireworks from Taipei 101.
