Dajian Mountain Scenic Area Introduction
At an elevation of 460 meters, Dajian Mountain is a famous suburban mountain in the Xizhi area, known for its beautiful scenery and often referred to as the "back garden of Xizhi." Dajian Mountain changes its appearance with the seasons; cherry blossoms bloom in early spring, fireflies light up in summer, and the maple leaves turn red in late autumn. The surrounding waterfalls, such as Dajian Waterfall, Jiadong Waterfall, and Xiufeng Waterfall, are also worth a visit, making it a tranquil place to enjoy the phytoncides of nature! The Dajian Mountain Scenic Area features numerous hiking trails of varying lengths and difficulties. From the two trailheads at Tianxiu Temple or Tiandao Qingxiuyuan, visitors ascend the mountain via stone steps. Due to its geographic advantages, this area offers a panoramic view of the Greater Taipei Basin, showcasing the grand cityscape while rolling mountains rise in layers, resembling an ink wash painting. At night, one can enjoy the sight of countless lights, experiencing a spectacular night view of over 180 degrees. Additionally, this location serves as an excellent spot to view the New Year's Eve fireworks of Taipei 101.
