Dajianshan Scenic Area Introduction
Dajian Mountain, standing at an elevation of 460 meters, is renowned for its beautiful scenery and is considered a famous suburban mountain in the Xizhi area, often referred to as the "Back Garden of Xizhi." Dajian Mountain transforms with the changing seasons, showcasing different seasonal charms: cherry blossoms bloom in early spring, fireflies light up the summer nights, and the maple leaves paint the mountains red in late autumn. The surrounding waterfalls, such as Dajian Waterfall, Qidong Waterfall, and Xiufeng Waterfall, are also worth seeing, making this a tranquil paradise to enjoy the scents of nature. The Dajian Mountain Scenic Area features numerous hiking trails of varying lengths and difficulties. From the trailheads at Tianxiugong or Tiandao Qingxiuyuan, hikers can ascend via stone steps. Thanks to its advantageous geographic location, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Greater Taipei Basin from above, taking in the vast cityscape below. The surrounding mountain ranges interweave in layers, creating a picturesque ink wash landscape. At night, the sight of countless lights from homes creates a stunning view, offering a unique experience with over 180 degrees of vibrant night scenery. Furthermore, it is an excellent spot to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks at Taipei 101.
