Sifenwei Mountain Introduction
Sifuntei Mountain is located in the southern mountain range of the bustling area of Xizhi. It is named for its pyramidal shape resembling a golden pagoda from four sides and serves as the boundary mountain for four surrounding villages. It is also known by another name, Qiedongjiao Mountain. Starting from the trailhead at Tianxiuh Palace, the hike is approximately 2.8 kilometers one way, passing by the famous Xiaobaiyue mountain, Xizhi Dajian Mountain. Compared to the 400-meter-high Dajian Mountain, Sifuntei Mountain, with an elevation of 641 meters, offers a broader view that feels closer to the sky. On clear days, visitors can enjoy the urban scenery of Taipei City, and looking northeast, Keelung Port and Keelung Islet appear clearly in the distance. Sifuntei Mountain was also a crucial route for travel between Xizhi, Shiding, and Nangang in the past, allowing visitors to appreciate the beautiful scenery while tracing the footsteps of their ancestors.
