Sifuntei Mountain Introduction
Sifenwei Mountain is located in the southern mountain range of the bustling area of Xizhi, named for its shape resembling a golden pagoda with four sides. It serves as a boundary mountain among four surrounding settlements and is also known as Qiatongjiao Mountain. Starting from the trailhead at Tianxiu Temple, the hike covers approximately 2.8 kilometers one way, passing the famous minor peak—Xizhi Dajianshan. Compared to Dajianshan, which has an elevation of over 400 meters, Sifenwei Mountain, with an elevation of 641 meters, offers a more expansive view closer to the sky. On clear days, visitors can not only enjoy the urban landscape of Taipei but also have a clear view of Keelung Harbor and Keelung Islet to the northeast. Sifenwei Mountain was also a vital route for travelers between Xizhi, Shiding, and Nangang in the past, allowing hikers to enjoy the beautiful scenery while tracing the footsteps of their ancestors.
