Sifuntei Mountain Introduction
SiFenWei Mountain is located in the southern mountain range of the bustling area of Xizhi. It is named for its four-sided golden pagoda-like shape and serves as the boundary mountain for four surrounding settlements. It is also known as Qiedongjiao Mountain. Starting from the Tienshium Temple trailhead, the hike to the summit is about 2.8 kilometers. Along the way, hikers will pass by the famous Xiao Bai Yue, Xizhi Dajian Mountain. Compared to the elevation of over 400 meters of Dajian Mountain, SiFenWei Mountain, with an elevation of 641 meters, offers a more expansive view closer to the sky. On clear days, visitors can enjoy the urban landscape of Taipei City and gaze northeast to see Keelung Harbor and Keelung Islet within sight. SiFenWei Mountain was also a crucial route in the past for travelers between Xizhi, Shiding, and Nangang, allowing hikers to appreciate beautiful scenery while tracing the footsteps of ancestors.
