Kai Cheng Temple (Tian Gong Temple) Introduction
Located in Ruifang District, New Taipei City, Kaicheng Temple (Tian Gong Temple) was established in 1957. The temple is adjacent to Fushan Temple and is primarily dedicated to the Jade Emperor. Situated at the highest point of Jiufen, it serves not only as a place for the public to pray and make offerings but also offers a panoramic view of Jiufen. Jiufen has always been a must-visit tourist destination for both domestic and international travelers. For photographers, Jiufen is also a great place to shoot; from the platform in front of Kaicheng Temple at the top of Jiufen Old Street, one can overlook the settlements in this area. What makes this place special is not only the mountain view but also, on clear days, the distant sight of Shen'ao Fishing Harbor along the coastal highway. The scenery is even more breathtaking during sunset.
