Kai Cheng Temple (Tian Gong Miao) Introduction
Located in Ruifang District, New Taipei City, Kaicheng Temple (Tian Gong Temple) was established in the 46th year of the Republic of China. The temple is adjacent to Fushan Temple and is dedicated to the Jade Emperor. Situated at the highest point of Jiufen, it not only serves as a place for worship and prayer but also offers panoramic views of Jiufen. Jiufen has always been a must-visit tourist destination for both domestic and international visitors, and it is also a great spot for photographers. From the platform in front of Kaicheng Temple at the top of Jiufen Old Street, one can overlook the settlements here. What makes this place special is not only the mountain scenery but, on clear days, the distant view of Shen'ao Fishing Port along the coastal highway, which is particularly breathtaking at sunset.
