No-Ear Teapot Mountain Trail Introduction
The Wuer Tea Pot Mountain Trail is a hiking trail suitable for short round trips, also known as "Tea Pot Mountain." It has an elevation of about 600 meters. From Jinguashi, looking up at the summit, its shape resembles a tea pot without a handle, hence the name. The trailhead can be accessed from the Gold Museum or the Chuanji Temple, featuring a mix of uphill and flat paths, which can be somewhat challenging for those with less stamina. The trail offers beautiful views of the entire Jinguashi mountain landscape. Tea Pot Mountain is composed of sedimentary rock and silicified gravel. From the eastern summit, one can enjoy a view of the Pacific Ocean, look south towards Banping Mountain, and appreciate Keelung Mountain along with the Romantic Road. From the other side, one can also see the blue and yellow gradient of the Yin-Yang Sea. In autumn and winter, the entire mountain peak is covered with silver grass, making it one of the popular spots for viewing silver grass in the northern region and the best vantage point in the Northeast Coast.
