Earless Teapot Mountain Trail Introduction
The Wuer Cha Hu Mountain Trail, also known as Tea Pot Mountain, is a hiking trail suitable for short round trips, with an elevation of approximately 600 meters. From Jinguashi, the summit resembles a teapot without a handle, hence the name. The trailhead can be accessed from the Gold Museum or Chuanji Temple, featuring a mix of uphill and flat sections which may be challenging for those with lower fitness levels. The trail offers stunning views of the entire Jinguashi area. Tea Pot Mountain is made up of sedimentary rock and silicified gravel. From the eastern side of the summit, one can gaze out over the Pacific Ocean, look south towards Banping Mountain, and enjoy views of Keelung Mountain and the Romantic Road. From the opposite side, the layered blue and yellow colors of the Yin Yang Sea can be observed. During autumn and winter, the entire mountain is adorned with silver grass, making it one of the popular silver grass viewing sites in northern Taiwan and the best vantage point in Northeast Taiwan.
