Yin Yang Sea Introduction
Yin Yang Sea, located to the north of the Shuinandong settlement in Ruifang District, New Taipei City, is renowned for its unique golden and blue waters. It is a distinctive geographical landscape in the northeast coastal area of Taiwan. The nearby Jinguashi Mountain is rich in pyrite, which, upon weathering, releases copper and iron ions that dissolve in the water, forming iron hydroxide that adsorbs sediment, resulting in the yellow-brown suspended matter that creates the unique gradient vista of the Yin Yang Sea. The water in the bay appears brownish-yellow due to natural minerals, contrasting sharply with the blue waters of the open sea, making it a natural palette! At the T-intersection of Dongting Road and Taiwan Highway 2, a straight road leading to the blue ocean, complemented by blue skies and white clouds, resembles a classic scene from the anime "Slam Dunk," and is thus also called "Little Kanazawa."
