Yin Yang Sea Introduction
The Yin Yang Sea, located on the northern side of the Shuinan Village in Ruifang District, New Taipei City, is renowned for its unique golden yellow and blue seawater, making it a distinctive geographical landscape of the northeastern coastal area of Taiwan. The nearby Jinguashi Mountain is rich in pyrite, which, after weathering, forms copper and iron ions that blend into the water, creating iron hydroxide that adsorbs sediments, resulting in the yellow-brown suspension that gives the Yin Yang Sea its unique gradient beauty. The color of the seawater in the bay is yellow-brown due to natural minerals, contrasting sharply with the blue seawater in the direction of the open ocean, making it a natural palette! At the T-shaped intersection of Dongding Road and Provincial Highway 2, a straight road connecting to the blue sea, paired with the blue sky and white clouds, resembles a classic scene from the anime "Slam Dunk," which is why it is also referred to as "Little Kamakura."
