Yin Yang Sea Introduction
Yin Yang Sea, located on the northern side of the Shuinan Cave settlement in Ruifang District, New Taipei City, is renowned for its unique golden-yellow and blue seawater. It is a special geological landscape in the northeastern coastal area of Taiwan. The nearby Jinguashi Mountain is rich in pyrite, which, after weathering, forms copper and iron ions that dissolve in the water, creating iron hydroxide that adsorbs sediment and results in the yellow-brown suspended particles, giving rise to the unique gradient beauty of the Yin Yang Sea. The color of the seawater in the bay appears yellow-brown due to the natural minerals, contrasting sharply with the blue sea water in the offshore direction, making it a natural palette! At the T-intersection of Dongtiang Road and Provincial Highway 2, a straight road connecting to the blue sea against the backdrop of blue sky and white clouds resembles a classic scene from the anime "Slam Dunk," and it is also known as "Little Kamikura."
