Yin Yang Sea Introduction
Yin Yang Sea, located on the northern side of Shuinandong Settlement in Ruifang District, New Taipei City, is famous for its unique golden yellow and blue seawater, making it a remarkable geographical feature of Taiwan's northeastern coastal area. The nearby Jinguashi Mountain is rich in pyrite, which, after weathering, releases copper and iron ions that merge into the water, forming iron hydroxide that adsorbs sediments and creates the yellowish-brown suspended matter, resulting in the distinctive yellow-blue gradient of Yin Yang Sea. The color of the seawater in the bay is yellowish-brown due to the natural minerals, contrasting sharply with the blue seawater heading out to the ocean, creating what can only be described as a natural palette! At the T-intersection of Dongding Road and Provincial Highway 2, a straight road connects to the blue sea under a blue sky with white clouds, resembling a classic scene from the anime "Slam Dunk," and thus is also referred to as "Little Kameido."
