Golden Waterfall Introduction
The Golden Waterfall is located beside the Jinshui Highway in the Shuinandong area of Ruifang District, New Taipei City. Entering the Jinshui Highway from Dongti Road, you can see the rocks dyed golden along the stream. As you slowly walk to the Golden Waterfall, the sight before your eyes is the turbulent water flowing down over the golden rocks. The Golden Waterfall, like the Ying Yang Sea, is a delicate masterpiece of nature. The Jiufen area, which receives abundant rainfall, causes the exposed "pyrite" contained in the accumulated minerals to either be washed into the soil with the rainwater or flow out when there is sufficient water, oxidizing along the way and forming a thick layer of iron rust sediment, making it a famous landscape in the Jinguashi area. Next to the waterfall is Mount Keelung, where you can also enjoy a distant view of the beautiful Ying Yang Sea.
