Golden Waterfall Introduction
The Golden Waterfall is located next to the Jinshui Highway in the Shuinandong area of Ruifang District, New Taipei City. Entering the Jinshui Highway from the Dongding Road, visitors can see rocks dyed golden along the creek banks as they walk slowly towards the waterfall. The sight of turbulent water rushing down the golden rocks is breathtaking. Similar to the Yin Yang Sea, the Golden Waterfall is a delicate masterpiece of nature. The abundant rainfall in the Jiufen area exposes the "pyrite" contained in the accumulated minerals or integrates it into the soil with rainwater, sometimes collecting and flowing out with ample water sources. As it flows, it oxidizes, coating the area with a thick layer of rust, which has become a famous landscape in the Jinguashi area. Beside the waterfall stands Mount Jingtong, offering a distant view of the beautiful Yin Yang Sea.
