Golden Waterfall Introduction
The Golden Waterfall is located next to the Jinshui Highway in the Shuinan Cave area of Ruifang District, New Taipei City. Entering Jinshui Highway from Dongtop Road, visitors can see rocks dyed golden along the streamside. As you slowly walk to the Golden Waterfall, you are greeted by the sight of turbulent water cascading down the golden rocks. Like the Yin-Yang Sea, the Golden Waterfall is a delicate masterpiece of nature. The Jiufen area, due to its heavy rainfall, exposes the iron sulfide minerals contained in the accumulated ores, which sometimes dissolve into the soil with rainwater. Occasionally, abundant water collects and flows out, oxidizing along the way and leaving a thick deposit of rust, making it a famous landscape in the Jinguashi area. Next to the waterfall is Mount Teapot, which also offers a distant view of the beautiful Yin-Yang Sea.
