Indigo Dyeing Visitor Center Introduction
The indigo dyeing tourist service center was completed in early September 2010 by the Urban and Rural Development Bureau of New Taipei City Government. To align with the theme of the Indigo Dyeing Park, it integrates indigo elements and tourist service functions, establishing the "Indigo Dyeing Tourist Service Center." It is currently managed by the Vigor Sanxia Volunteer Team, which has set up the Vigor Sanxia Experimental Dye Workshop, dedicated to promoting indigo dyeing culture. The main display focuses on the history of indigo dyeing industry in Sanxia, diagrams explaining the dyeing process, demonstration teaching area, and explanation area for indigo dyeing works. Additionally, it features a selling area for indigo dyeing products, hands-on indigo dyeing experiences, tourist service consultations, local agricultural products, promotional materials displays, and videos showcasing the culture of Sanxia. Furthermore, as part of a workforce development program for the community indigo dyeing industry, courses on indigo dyeing techniques, cultural and ecological tours of Sanxia, and the Sanxia Walk Festival are offered to enhance tourists' understanding of Sanxia culture, diversify local services in the old street, and create tourism appeal for the town.
