The Indigo Dyeing Visitor Center was completed in early September 2010 by the New Taipei City Urban and Rural Development Bureau. In order to align with the concept of the indigo dyeing park, it integrates indigo dyeing elements with visitor service functions, establishing the "Indigo Dyeing Visitor Center." Currently operated by the Vital Sanxia Volunteer Team, the volunteers have set up the Vital Sanxia Experimental Dyeing Workshop, dedicated to promoting indigo dyeing culture. The main display focuses on the history of the indigo dyeing industry in Sanxia, illustrations of the dyeing process, demonstration teaching areas, and explanations of indigo dyeing works. Additionally, there is a sales area for indigo dyeing products, indigo dyeing experience opportunities, visitor service consultations, local farmer products, promotional materials display, and films showcasing the charm of Sanxia. Programs such as nurturing human resources in the community's indigo dyeing industry, workshops on indigo dyeing techniques, Sanxia cultural and historical environmental eco-tours, and the Sanxia Walking Festival are organized to enhance tourists' understanding of Sanxia culture, diversify local services in the old street, and create the charm of town tourism.

Indigo Dyeing Visitor Center Introduction

The Indigo Dyeing Tourist Service Center was completed in early September 2010 by the Urban and Rural Development Bureau of the New Taipei City Government. To align with the image of the Indigo Dyeing Park, the center integrates indigo dyeing elements with tourist service functions. It is currently operated by the Vibrant Sanxia Volunteer Team, which has established the Vibrant Sanxia Experimental Dyeing Workshop dedicated to promoting indigo dyeing culture. The main focus of the exhibition includes the history of the indigo dyeing industry in Sanxia, illustrated explanations of the dyeing process, demonstration teaching areas, and an explanation area for indigo dyeing works. Additionally, there are spaces for the sale of indigo dyeing products, experiences in dyeing techniques, tourist service consultations, local agricultural products, display of promotional materials, and screening of videos showcasing the charm of Sanxia. The center also hosts a community workforce development program for the indigo dyeing industry, offering courses on indigo dyeing techniques, environmental and historical tours of Sanxia, events like the Sanxia Walking Festival, and more, enhancing visitors' understanding of Sanxia culture while diversifying local services in the old street and creating a charming tourist destination.
