Indigo Dyeing Visitor Center Introduction
The Indigo Dyeing Tourist Service Center was completed in early September 2010 by the New Taipei City Government's Urban and Rural Development Bureau. To align with the concept of the Indigo Dyeing Park, it integrates indigo dyeing elements with tourist service functions, establishing the "Indigo Dyeing Tourist Service Center." It is currently operated by the Vibrant Sanxia Volunteer Team, which has set up the Vibrant Sanxia Experimental Dye House, dedicated to promoting indigo dyeing culture. The main exhibition focuses on the development history of the Sanxia indigo dyeing industry, illustrated explanations of dyeing processes, demonstration teaching areas, and interpretation areas for indigo dyeing works. Additionally, there are spaces for the sale of indigo-dyed products, experiences of indigo dyeing techniques, tourist service consultations, local farm products, promotional materials displays, and screenings of Sanxia lifestyle videos. Programs such as cultivating human resources for the indigo dyeing industry's upstream and downstream, courses on indigo dyeing techniques, Sanxia cultural and ecological tours, and the Sanxia Walking Festival are organized to enhance visitors' understanding of Sanxia culture, diversify local services in the old street, and create tourist attractions.
