Dakeng No. 6 Trail Introduction
Dakeng Scenic Area - Hiking Trail Guide Dakeng Scenic Area is an important recreational place for the citizens of Taichung, offering a space for spiritual relaxation as well as a destination for hikers and fitness enthusiasts. It is a popular tourist attraction in central Taiwan. On regular days and holidays, you can often see groups of friends or families enjoying the area together, making it a collective backyard for the people of Taichung. The area is most notable for its 14 hiking trails, with trails No. 1 to 8 opened in the early 1980s, constructed based on the natural geography intertwined with Dakeng Mountain and streams, with the highest elevation reaching 859 meters at Touko Mountain. Trail No. 9 was opened in December 2005, Trail No. 10 was completed in March 2008, and Trail No. 9-1 was completed in November 2013. Trail No. 6 has a length of approximately 1.7 kilometers, suitable for people of all ages. There are two entry points for the trail: one is accessible via the industrial road along Songzhuzhong Road leading to Parking Lot No. 6, and the other enters from Guangxi Lane directly to the Guanyin Pavilion, then follows the trail upwards. Features: This trail has a gentle slope, and its endpoint leads to Wind-Driven Rock Park, where visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the Fengyuan area and the environmental chimney in the Houli District of Taichung. Along the way, there is a Guanyin Pavilion with a standing white Guanyin statue that attracts many visitors for worship, along with a children's playground and pavilions.
