Trail No. 10 is planned to connect with Trail No. 9 to form a circular hiking network, allowing hikers to experience different scenic views along the way. The endpoints of Trails No. 9 and 10, at the Three-way Intersection, provide access to the Guanyin Pavilion rest area and connect with Trail No. 6, creating a hiking network suitable for a day trip.

Dakeng No. 10 Trail Introduction

Dakeng Scenic Area - Hiking Trail Guide Dakeng Scenic Area is an important recreational spot for the residents of Taichung City, serving as a place for spiritual calmness as well as a venue for hiking and fitness activities. It is also one of the popular tourist attractions in Central Taiwan. On regular days and holidays, you can often see groups of enthusiasts and families enjoying the scenery, making it a common backyard for Taichung City residents. The most distinctive features of the area are its 14 hiking trails. Trails No. 1 to No. 8 were opened in the early 1980s, constructed based on the natural terrain formed by Dakeng Mountain and the streams, with the highest elevation reaching 859 meters at Touke Mountain. Trail No. 9 was opened in December 2005, Trail No. 10 was completed in March 2008, and Trail No. 9-1 was finished in November 2013. Trail No. 10 has a length of approximately 1.2 kilometers, making it suitable for outdoor teaching and family activities. Trailhead: Go straight on Jingbu Road across from the Jingbu Parking Lot to the opposite side of Jiuyue Bridge. Features: This trail includes five specific areas: Bamboo Trail, Acacia Trail, Bougainvillea Flower Area, Taro Ecological Area, and Cliff Peak, which are rich in ecology, each equipped with informational signs. The trail surface consists of wooden planks, gravel paths, natural dirt paths, and wooden stairways, as well as viewing pavilions and platforms for resting. Transportation Methods:1. Taichung Bus (Taichung Station 04-22224102): Route 15, Route 16 (boarding at Luchuan East Station) can also reach National Chung Hsing University; additionally, at the intersection of Dongshan Road and Songzhu Road, you can take Taichung Bus Route 66 (Route 66 will loop through Dakeng). 2. Renyou Bus (04-22255166): Route 1, Route 20, Route 21, Route 31 (boarding at Luchuan East Station, it's recommended to take Renyou as they have more buses). 3. Fengyuan Bus (Taichung North Station 04-22223435): Buses heading towards Zhongxingling, Xinshe, Dongshi, etc.


Remarks:1. It is recommended that the elderly and individuals with high blood pressure avoid climbing the Dakeng No. 1 to No. 5 and No. 5-1 trails as much as possible. 2.
