Chung Tai University Guanyin Mountain Hiking Trail (Closed) Introduction
Due to the heavy rain brought by Typhoon Danas in July this year and the southwest airflow on July 28, post-disaster reconstruction works will be carried out. To avoid any danger, this hiking trail has been closed. We kindly ask the public not to visit during the renovation period, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. The Chung Tai University Guanyin Mountain hiking trail is 1 kilometer long, with an elevation ranging from 190 to 318 meters. The trail has multiple access points, one of which is located behind the technology building of Chung Tai University. The highest point of the trail is the Jade Buddha Temple at South Guanyin Mountain, from where visitors return to Chung Tai University alongside the lakeside via the descending trail. At the top of South Guanyin Mountain stands the Jade Buddha Temple, featuring a gigantic golden statue of Guanyin, creating a solemn and tranquil atmosphere, frequently visited by worshippers. Here, one can enjoy not only a panoramic view of the bustling Taichung city but also the lush and rolling Dakeng mountain area, providing two kinds of enjoyment at once. Travel Tips: The short length of the trail makes it suitable for the whole family to enjoy, getting close to nature while exercising and relaxing. Its location near the city ensures convenient transportation, making it easy to plan a spontaneous visit without burden. The scenery is beautiful, offering views of Taichung city as well as the bright mountains of the Dakeng area.
