Audit Village Introduction
To revitalize idle public buildings, providing space for industrial development needs and promoting overall local development, the Taichung City Government collaborates through a commissioned management model and opens public bidding to attract investments from private entities and organizations. This site mainly aims to introduce a composite thematic cultural and creative industry. Its advantageous location and proximity to Taichung's relevant arts, cultural, and emerging business activity areas are all within walking distance, allowing for the connection of existing green corridors and creative shops in museums to form an industrial clustering effect. It aims to shape a cultural and creative industry corridor along Taichung's garden paths, and based on the three coexistences of life, production, and ecology, it guides young people to engage in micro-entrepreneurship, increasing employment opportunities. The Auditing New Village, which is unique despite its proximity to the road, is located in this nearly half-century-old former staff dormitory of the Taiwan Provincial Government's Audit Department. After the freezing of the province, it became an idle space for many years. Although its area is only 0.52 hectares, its location near the Taichung Qimi Greenway highlights its uniqueness. The old buildings are full of traces of the times, and through government re-planning, it has successfully transformed into a base for youth entrepreneurship. The vitality and creativity of young people stimulate a fascinating spatial charm and unique atmosphere.
