Audit Village Introduction
To revitalize idle public buildings and provide spaces for industry development needs, as well as drive overall local development, the Taichung City Government collaborates through a commissioned management approach and publicly invites investments from private and corporate entities. The site primarily aims to introduce a mixed thematic cultural and creative industry. The advantageous transportation location of this area, along with its proximity to Taichung's related arts, humanities, and emerging business activity zones, are all within walking distance. This allows for the connection of existing green corridors and cultural and creative stores in art museums to form an industrial clustering effect, shaping the cultural and creative industry corridor along Taichung's greenway. Based on the integration of life, production, and ecology, it guides young people in micro-entrepreneurship to increase employment opportunities. The Audit New Village, distinct yet close to the road, is one of the third batch of Taiwan Provincial Government dormitories built nearly half a century ago. After being vacated, it became an idle space for many years. Although its area is only 0.52 hectares, its location near Taichung's Qingmei Greenway enhances its uniqueness. The old buildings are filled with traces of the era, and through government re-planning, it has successfully transformed into a youth entrepreneurship base, where the vitality and creativity of young people spark a captivating spatial charm and unique atmosphere.
