Caowu Road Introduction
Calligraphy Greenway starts from the National Museum of Natural Science in the north and extends to the Art Garden Greenway in the south, forming a linear urban space structure. Along the way, there are activity nodes such as the National Museum of Natural Science, Citizen Square, Chunghwa Eslite Greenway, cultural spaces, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, and food streets. The intensity, atmosphere, and spatial scale of activities vary between moments of being compact and serene, embodying a natural flow reminiscent of "running script" in calligraphy. The concept of "running script" is traditionally explained as: "calculating white against black, the first character leads the piece; flowing from left to right, alternating between dense and sparse; dense without ventilation, wide enough for a horse to run." The spatial principles established by running script serve as the starting point for design, aiming to create an urban characteristic space inspired by the rhythm and cadence of running script. Due to the design concept of "Calligraphy Greenway," it has also been nicknamed "草悟道" (Cǎo Wù Dào), with the English name established as "Calligraphy Greenway."
