"Gentle smiles, warm attitudes, and prompt service" define the birth of Guangsan SOGO Department Store, located in the prime Zhonggang shopping district of Greater Taichung. On March 12, 1992, Guangsan Construction officially signed a cooperation agreement with Japan's SOGO and began preparations for the store's opening. The department store building was funded by Guangsan Construction, who hired renowned architects for the design. Construction started on June 19, 1993, and the grand opening was celebrated on November 11, 1995. The exclusive music clock, newly introduced, features adorable dolls from around the world that sing bright, lively songs every hour to greet all guests visiting Guangsan SOGO. Many parents often take their children to the main entrance on the first floor to enjoy the joyful moments brought by the cute dolls from the music clock.
