Anding Bao'an Temple Introduction
The An-Ting Baoan Temple was established in the first year of the Jiaqing era of the Qing Dynasty (1796 AD). It primarily enshrines Baosheng Dadi and Ma Zu, along with other deities including Chenghuang, Marshal Xie, the Goddess of Birth, Marshal Tian, the Prince of the Central Altar, the God of Wealth, and General Tiger. In the first year of the Jiaqing era (1796), the original Baoan Temple was located at Dadaogongying (about one kilometer east of the current temple site near "Gongjiujue"). On June 6, the third year of the Tongzhi era (1862 AD), a severe earthquake occurred, causing significant damage to the village and collapsing the temple. The local economy began to decline, and at that time, the local elders, recognizing the situation, strongly advocated and initiated the reconstruction of the temple with the cooperation of the eighteen village heads. In the third year of the Tongzhi era (1865 AD), a new temple was completed in Zhijianlong Village, and in the third year of the Taisho era (1914 AD), the temple was rebuilt at its current location.
