Confucius Temple (Closed for Maintenance) Introduction

The Confucius Temple located on the north shore of Lotus Pond was built in 1976 and is a modern imitation of Song Dynasty palace architecture, modeled after the Confucius Temple in Qufu, Shandong. It features structures such as the Dacheng Gate, Dacheng Hall, Lingxing Gate, Ceremony Gate, and Righteous Path. Inside, there is a bronze relief depicting Confucius's accomplishments with the inscription "Wanren Palace Wall," praising Confucius's profound knowledge and ethics. There are over ten Confucius Temples throughout Taiwan, and the one next to Lotus Pond in Zuoying stands out with its majestic and solemn appearance, exuding an antique charm. It also attracted the famous television drama "The Empress of China" for filming. The park is adorned with lush green trees and beautiful scenery of small bridges and flowing water, complementing the stunning views of the lake and mountains.
