Confucius Temple (Closed for Business) Introduction

The Confucius Temple located on the northern shore of Lianchihtan was constructed in 1976 and features a modern design resembling the Song Dynasty palace style, modeled after the Confucius Temple in Qufu, Shandong. It includes significant structures such as the Dacheng Gate, Dacheng Hall, Lingxing Gate, Li Gate, and Yilu. Inside, there is a bronze relief depicting the achievements of Confucius, inscribed with the words "Ten Thousand Ren Palace Wall," praising Confucius's profound knowledge and ethics. There are over ten Confucius Temples throughout Taiwan, and the one next to Lianchihtan in Zuoying boasts a majestic and solemn architectural appearance with an antiquated charm. It also attracted the famous television series "The Empress of the Era" for filming. The park is adorned with lush green trees and beautiful scenery of small bridges and flowing water, reflecting the beauty of the lake and mountains.
