Qiming Hall Introduction

The Qiming Hall, also known as the Wumiao (Warrior Temple), is a syncretic temple that combines Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism, dedicated to the three teachings. It primarily worships the two saints of literature and military, along with the secondary worship of Yue Fei and Koxinga (Zheng Chenggong). Founded in the 25th year of the Guangxu era (1899) in the southwest of Lotus Pond, it showcases a magnificent and grand appearance with Eastern palace-style architecture. On the birthdays of various deities, devotees hold elaborate rituals to welcome and honor the gods, making it one of the important local celebrations.
