Chih Ming Tang Introduction
The Chiming Hall, also known as the Wumiao, is a syncretic temple that integrates Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism, worshipping the saints of these three teachings. It predominantly honors the two sages of civil and military traditions, along with the deities Yue Fei and Zheng Chenggong as secondary figures. Established in the 25th year of the Guangxu era (1899 AD), it is located to the southwest of the Lotus Pond. The hall boasts a magnificent appearance, featuring Chinese palace-style architecture. On the birthdays of the various gods, devotees hold elaborate rituals to welcome and worship the deities, making it one of the important local celebrations.
