Ciji Palace, Zuoying District Introduction
The Chengyi Tzu Chi Temple, commonly referred to as Chengyi Tzu Chi Temple or Zuoying Tzu Chi Temple by locals, is also known as the Old Ancestor Temple. It is dedicated to the God of Life, Baosheng Dadi. Built in the 58th year of the Kangxi reign (1719 AD), it has a history of nearly 300 years. Although it has undergone several renovations and may appear different from its original form, the preserved plaques, couplets, and stone tablets still convey the simple yet comforting power of that time.
