Mango Cafe (Closed Temporarily) Introduction
Come to the Confucius Temple in Zuoying's Lotus Pond and enjoy the best coffee at Mango Culture! The name itself reflects our reflections and expectations after years in the coffee industry. As Mango Culture celebrates its 15th anniversary, we hope to establish a unique coffee culture like that of Huashen Cafe or New York Cafe, standing for a century. Taiwan is home to many of the world's best baristas, cuppers, and roasters, but coffee has always been an imported product. We interpret it following the preferences established in Europe and America; thus, we aspire to internalize the language of architecture into a coffee form unique to Taiwan. The drinking methods of aroma cups and tasting cups, which are unique to Taiwan's tea culture, have been applied to coffee tasting at Mango Culture for many years and will continue in our new location. In terms of brewing, we aim to find our own style. We wish to break free from the existing limits of lattes, Americanos, cappuccinos, etc., to offer coffees from various regions so you can choose freely between black short, long, iced, hot, and milk coffee. Furthermore, we have many fruit coffee options that combine Taiwan’s abundant local fruits with coffee. We aim to break the fixed impression of pairing coffee with cheesecake, pancakes, and other Western pastries, hoping coffee will become more integrated into everyday life by seeking suitable pairings with traditional Taiwanese desserts and rice dishes. We want coffee to truly blend into Taiwan's local cultural life. Mango Cafe at the Confucius Temple offers limited gourmet coffee and beverages: developed with a classic antique FAEMA - Urania espresso machine from the 1950s, allowing you to taste a unique coffee flavor. In addition, we provide a variety of single-origin coffee options. Our fruit coffee drink is a limited-time offering at the Mango Cafe in Kaohsiung's Confucius Temple, using our signature pairing, Liao's Coffee as the base, combined with fresh juice for a more diverse coffee tasting experience. Taiwan’s fine tea: We insist on using Alishan green tea and Sun Moon Lake black tea, which have a rich aroma and sweet flavor, blended with fresh milk from local dairies to create rich milk tea, providing more health and nutrition. Special dishes: To integrate coffee deeper into daily life, we have carefully selected traditional century-old Taiwanese pastries, market rice dishes, and specialty sandwiches that merge Eastern and Western flavors, allowing coffee to truly incorporate into Taiwan's local culture, so coffee and Western pastries are no longer the only pairings. Gourmet coffee sales: Mango Cafe has a complete temperature-controlled greenhouse system and high-end roasting facilities, ensuring that the green coffee beans are well-preserved. Throughout the roasting and packaging process of all coffee beans, we adhere to retaining the most complete flavors for brewing moments, letting you effortlessly enjoy the beauty of coffee.
