Yuan Ding Lin Zi Bian Police Station (Linyuan Historical Classroom) Introduction
The original Linzi Police Station, hidden in the market, is also a historical building in Linyuan. Established in 1898 during the 31st year of the Meiji era, it is the earliest official office in the Linyuan area, located next to a popular market. Built during the Japanese occupation, the building features predominantly Japanese-style architecture. It includes dormitories, gardens, an ancient well, air-raid shelters, and a water tower for daily use. The police station itself is a Japanese-style building made of a brick and wood mixed structure, providing a feeling reminiscent of a small Kyoto. Inside, there are exhibits introducing local products such as onions and grouper, as well as information about the construction methods of the station's dormitory buildings. With its abundant Japanese flavor, the site attracts many visitors for photography and is particularly popular among young people.
