Yuan Ding Linzi Bian Police Station (Linyuan Historical Classroom) Introduction
The original Linzi Police Station hidden in the market is a historical building in Linyuan. Established in the 31st year of the Meiji era (1898) and still standing today, it was once the earliest official institution in the Linyuan area, enhanced by the popularity of the market nearby. Constructed during the Japanese colonial period, the architecture primarily features Japanese-style buildings. Notable elements include dormitories, gardens, a historic well, air raid shelters, and a water tower for daily use. The police station itself is a brick and wood mixed structure of Japanese architecture, giving visitors a sense of being in a small Kyoto. Inside, it also features local specialties such as onions and grouper, as well as the construction methods of the dormitory buildings. The property is filled with Japanese charm, attracting many visitors, particularly young people, who come here for photo opportunities.
