Yuan-Ding Linzi-Bian Police Station (Linyuan Historical Classroom) Introduction
The original Linzi Police Station, hidden in the market, is also a historical building in Linyuan. Established in 1898 during the Meiji Era, it is located near Linyuan's popular market and was one of the earliest government offices in the area. Built during the Japanese colonial period, the architecture is primarily in the Japanese style, featuring dormitories, gardens, ancient wells, bomb shelters, and a water tower for practical use. The police station itself is a brick-wood hybrid structure of Japanese architecture, creating an illusion of being in a small Kyoto. Inside, it introduces local products such as onions and spotted grouper, along with information on the construction methods used for the dormitory of this police station. The building, rich in Japanese style, attracts many visitors, especially young people, who come here for photography.
