Yuanshan Police Station (Linyuan Historical Classroom) Introduction
The original Linzi Police Station hidden in the market is a historical building in Linyuan. Established in 1898 during the Meiji era, it has been operational ever since and is located near the popular market in Linyuan, making it one of the earliest official offices in the area. Built during the Japanese colonial period, the architecture primarily features Japanese-style buildings. It includes dormitories, a garden, an ancient well, an air raid shelter, and a water tower for daily use. The police station itself is a mixed brick-and-wood Japanese-style structure, providing a feeling reminiscent of small Kyoto when photographed. Inside, it features exhibits introducing local products such as onions and grouper, as well as information about the construction methods of the station's dormitory. Due to its distinctly Japanese architectural style, many people come here for photography, making it especially popular among young visitors.
