Daling Alley Trail Introduction
Located on the northwest slope of Shihfenpu Mountain in the Ci'en Mountain National Scenic Area, the Daling Lane No. 1 to 3 trails have a total length of about 1.95 kilometers. The trail surface consists of wooden sleepers, wooden boardwalks, dirt and stone paths, and industrial roads. Along the way, visitors can enjoy beautiful scenery, with rest pavilions available for a distant view of the surroundings of Bagua Mountain. There are also the famous native chicken city and tourist starfruit orchards for a delightful feast. Three trails in the park are planned with different types of flowers to create their distinctive features: Trail No. 1 is the Osmanthus Trail; Trail No. 2 is the Camellia Trail; and Trail No. 3 is the Azalea Trail. The natural ecology is rich and diverse, and the most notable feature is the frequent sighting of the gray-faced buzzard soaring overhead, with the sound of eagle calls echoing in the valleys. Furthermore, Bagua Mountain is located just along the northbound migration path and habitat of the Purple Butterfly, and to enhance butterfly conservation, the Huatan Township Office has planted nectar plants along the trail for butterfly gathering.
