Futian Tung Tree Viewing Area Trail Introduction
Located on County Road 139 in the eastern district of Changhua City, accessible via Fuxing Road, this area is home to a large number of Tung trees. During April and May, when the Tung blossoms are in full bloom, walking along the wooden boardwalk becomes a beautiful experience with white flowers falling like snow. The Tung Flower Trail is a circular path; the entrance area features a water source that serves as a habitat for firefly rehabilitation, followed by a native herb garden with plants such as jasmine and osmanthus. Further along is a section of indigenous hardwood trees, including species like the Taiwan 甘樹 (Light Wax Tree), camphor, and longan, mostly planted by environmental volunteers. On the other side is a linear hiking trail surrounded primarily by Taiwan indigenous trees, featuring groups of Tung trees, fragrant nanmu trees, acacia forests, and camphor trees. Both trails are suitable for public recreation during the flower season. Trail length: 1.19 kilometers. Walking time: 0.5 hours. Facilities: parking (motorcycles, small cars), benches, mobile toilets, information panels, and signposts.
