Futian Paulownia Trail Introduction
Located on County Road 139 in the East District of Changhua City, accessible via Fuxing Road, this area is home to a large number of Tung trees. In April and May, when the Tung flowers are in full bloom, strolling along the wooden boardwalk amidst the snow-like falling white flowers presents a beautiful scene. The Tung flower viewing trail is a circular path; the entrance area serves as a water source and a habitat for firefly breeding. Further along is a native herb garden featuring plants such as jasmine and osmanthus, followed by an area with indigenous tree species including the litsea tree, camphor tree, and Sapindus. Most of the trees have been planted by environmental volunteers. On the other side is a linear hiking trail, surrounded primarily by native Taiwanese trees, which includes not only Tung trees but also clusters of fragrant nutmeg and acacia trees as well as camphor trees. Both trails are suitable for the public to enjoy during the flower season. Trail length: 1.19 km. Walking time: 0.5 hours. Facilities include a parking lot (for motorcycles and cars), seating, mobile toilets, information boards, and directional signs.
The hiking trail is primarily composed of Taiwan's native trees, including not only Tung trees but also clusters of fragrant camphor trees, acacia trees, and various Lauraceae species.
The entrance and exit of the Tung Tree Viewing Trail are equipped with an activity area and a motorcycle parking lot.
