Cheng Long Wetland Introduction
The Black-faced Spoonbill Paradise and the stunning sunset at Chenglong Wetlands were once arable lands that had to be abandoned due to land subsidence and seawater intrusion. However, the area's rich ecological evolution has attracted rare bird species such as the Black-faced Spoonbill. Following the installation of the artistic design "Water Core" by artists, the breathtaking sunsets here have become a must-see attraction in Kouhu. Chenglong Wetlands, located in Kouhu Township, Yunlin County, is a general protection zone and is listed as one of the country's important wetlands. It has transformed from abandoned farmland into a thriving wetland ecosystem where thousands of migratory birds come to rest annually, including the endangered Black-faced Spoonbill, Little Tern, and Red-Footed Falcon. The area is also rich in fish and crabs, making it an important local tourism resource.
