Chiang Chung Wetlands Introduction
The Black-faced Spoonbill Paradise and the breathtaking sunset at Chenglong Wetland were once arable lands, which had to be abandoned due to land subsidence and seawater intrusion. However, due to the rich ecological evolution, it often attracts rare bird species such as the Black-faced Spoonbill. After the installation art "Water Core" designed by artists, the stunning sunset in this area has become a must-visit scenic spot in Kouhu. Chenglong Wetland, located in Kouhu Township, Yunlin County, is a general protected area listed as one of the national important wetlands. It has evolved from abandoned farmland into a wetland teeming with biodiversity, hosting thousands of migratory birds each year, including the endangered Black-faced Spoonbill, Little Tern, and Common Kestrel, as well as a rich variety of fish and crabs, making it an important local tourism resource.
