Chenglong Wetlands Introduction
The Black-faced Spoonbill Paradise and stunning sunset in Cheng Long Wetland were originally arable lands, but due to land subsidence and seawater intrusion, they had to be abandoned for farming. However, the rich ecological evolution has attracted rare birds such as the Black-faced Spoonbill to inhabit the area. With the installation art "Water Core" designed by artists, the breathtaking sunset here has become a must-visit attraction in Kouhu. Cheng Long Wetland, located in Kouhu Township, Yunlin County, is a general protected area and has been listed as one of the nationally important wetlands. It has transformed from abandoned farmland into a wetland rich in biodiversity, attracting thousands of migratory birds each year, including the endangered Black-faced Spoonbill, Little Tern, Red-footed Falcon, and more, along with abundant fish and crabs, making it a significant local tourism resource.
