Chenglong Wetlands Introduction
The Black-faced Spoonbill Paradise and the stunning sunset at Chenglong Wetland were originally cultivated fields, but due to ground subsidence and seawater intrusion, they had to be abandoned. However, due to the rich ecological evolution, rare bird species such as the Black-faced Spoonbill are often attracted to this area. After the installation of artistic design called "Water Core" by artists, the beautiful sunset here has become a must-visit attraction in Kouhu. Chenglong Wetland, located in Kouhu Township, Yunlin County, is a general protected area and is listed as one of the national important wetlands. It has evolved from abandoned farmland into a biodiverse wetland, drawing tens of thousands of migratory birds each year, including the endangered Black-faced Spoonbill, as well as Little Terns, Red Kites, and many others, along with a rich variety of fish and crabs, making it an important local tourist resource.
