Chenglong Wetlands Introduction
The Black-faced Spoonbill Paradise and the stunning sunset at Chenglong Wetlands were originally arable lands, but due to land subsidence and seawater intrusion, they had to be abandoned for farming. However, the rich ecological evolution has attracted rare bird species such as the Black-faced Spoonbill. After the installation art "Water Core" designed by artists, the breathtaking sunset here has become a famous scenic spot in Kouhu, making it a must-visit. The Chenglong Wetlands, located in Kouhu Township, Yunlin County, are a general protected area listed as one of the country's important wetlands. They have evolved from deserted fields into a wetland rich in biodiversity, annually attracting thousands of migratory birds, including the endangered Black-faced Spoonbill, Little Terns, and Red Falcons, as well as a wealth of fish and crabs, making it a significant local tourism resource.
