Wutu Power Plant Introduction
The Wutu Power Plant, a century-old historical site, is located on the southern bank of the Zhuoshui River in Wutu Village. Built in 1923, it was originally established to serve the Wushantou Reservoir, with the power generated being transmitted over a distance of 100 kilometers. The power plant contains three well-preserved generator units that are still operational today. The water sources used by the power plant are drawn from the Zhuoshui River and the Qing Shui River. The generator building features a Baroque-style construction without columns or steel reinforcement, made of brick walls, and the machinery inside is over 70 years old, making it an important asset in Taiwan's power development.
