Wutu Power Plant Introduction
The Wutu Power Plant, a century-old historical site, is located on the south bank of the Zhuoshui River in Wutu Village. Built in 1923, it was originally constructed to support the Wushantou Reservoir and is capable of transmitting electricity over a distance of 100 kilometers. The power plant houses three well-preserved generating units that are still operational today. The water sources for the power plant are drawn from the Zhuoshui River and the Qing Shui River. The turbine building features a Baroque-style structure made of brick walls without beams or reinforcement. The internal machinery is over 70 years old, making it an important asset in Taiwan's power development.
